It is as though we have done nothing in regards to defending on the training pitch. Need to set up phases of play to coach us on how to counter teams that are bypassing our midfield in transition.

Call me dramatic and reactive to his miss just there but Iām not seeing a lot from Diaz this pre season. Feel Jota, Cody and Mo should be our starting front 3.
Holds onto the ball too long and a bit meh at times.
I will say he has looked sprightly at times but not the player I remember guess we will see.
He did always have a habit of missing sitters.
To me Diaz has always looked more threatening than actually having end product.

Good to see Macca getting back then.
Lovely feet and good movement.
Diaz is incredibly similar to Mane - both work really hard, both try too hard, both have an angry streak, both have periods of time where they donāt play well (cue revisionists saying Mane didnāt do this) and both are incredibly talented.
Iāve been impressed with Macca in this one so far.
