If we can play on pitches like this, surely we wouldn’t have any issue on a cold rainy and windy Monday night at the Britannia.
hahahah i was waiting for that response
That would’ve been some goal by Ekitike with that back heel.
surely they could’ve hosted this game on a proper pitch…Frustrating watch
Maybe it’s been over watered because of the excessive heat we’ve had here of late.
I can’t remember the last time it rained.
I am still amazed that we signed Wirtz tbh
Wirtz and corners! Practice please.
Not really.
Its uneven. Then the grass is cutting up
The pitch is making this a hard watch no confidence it what wil happen
It looks a bit shit from us!
We are so tentative on this pitch just not used to it and look scared of potential injuries
I’m finding it hard as well. You can see the ball isn’t running as it should.
Players step off and you see soil/sods fly off the surface
I do have my doubts over Szobo as a double pivot, but this is alright. Of course there could be a few obvious changes like Ali, Mac, perhaps Isak (though if he arrives a bit later, then Ekitike might have the advantage before Alex finds his feet).
the way wirtz plays is rather nice
No idea what you expect, they’ve been training for days in double sessions in a grueling heat and very high humidity… it’s clear that their legs are heavy etc.
Wrong decision there, Wirtz.
Just take the boys off and switch the 11. No need to risk any injuries on this Sunday league crappy pitch
Whatever money is due Yokohama from this friendly needs to be discounted as tax for the poor pitch…
HT 0-0:
Good physical work-out for the lads, and the chance to work on their collective game. There will probably be a few changes for the second half, let’s see what happens.
( Ekitike’s very first touch in a red shirt… lovely player! )
