I genuinely thought Ibe’s ceiling was higher than Sterling’s. When he first got to the fringes of the first team his game was so much more varied than most highly rated wing prospects when they first break through who tend to be far more one dimensionally “head down chargey”, albeit very good at doing that one thing (see Doak)

He had bags of talent, but it should be remembered it was more than physical attributes that cost the lad his top flight career.
