Considering Pesci and Woodman are our 3rd/4th choice they would far better than what we’ve had at that level bar say Jaros in the last few years.

Why would you be angry? There’s no doubt a good player there but if he doesn’t fit with what Slot needs or he wants to play more it’s not the end of the world for him to move on to pastures new.

Nobody is being ‘pushed out’. The lad needs games and a parting of the ways is the best thing for everyone.

I love Harvey and he carries himself with pride in his association with this club. He loves to wear that badge.
I’m sure the club would gladly keep him as a 5th or 6th choice midfielder. But he wants to play. He doesn’t want to spend his prime years rotting on the bench. And he just isn’t good/consistent enough to supplant the guys ahead of him.
Maybe things wouldn’t been different if he didn’t get hurt and miss out on so much time to start last year. Maybe he would have integrated better into Slot’s side.
But now, he’s entering the beginning of his physical prime. He needs to play week in and week out. He should go to a quality club where he can make that happen.

I’m very happy with Wirtz, but even with him here, there is definitely a place for him in the squad. I’ve written ‘if he’s pushed out’, meaning if he must go against his wishes because he gets marginalized by Slot like at the end of last season. If he choses to go because he wants to start every game, then fair play, he can go. But looking in from the outside, it looks like he must go against his will, and I don’t like that to be honest. He’s a gem of a player, and there are enough minutes here for him to further develop himself; if Slot makes room for him, that is. For instance as an understudy for Salah and Wirtz, and starting every cup game. The lad is 22 ffs.
If he decides to go because he hast lost patience or belief to make it here, then of course it’s different, I’ll wish him well wherever he goes.

With Harvey looking at the new players we have just bought, and whom are expected to be thrust into the starting eleven… all of them, are a similar age or younger than him.
If that doesn’t spell out a message to him, then not sure anything would.
AS has had plenty of opportunity to use him last season… for reasons known only to AS himself, he never acted in such a way by utilising the lads talents, nor, has he shown any clue that Harvey fits into his plans, either short-term or long-term.
The lad needs to put himself first and find a club were he can flourish to his full potential - no shame in that..!
I think you are looking for conflict here.
If there is one thing to come out of last season, it’s that Slot has earned the right to manage this team as he sees fit. He didn’t give Harvey a lot of game time last year, and he won the league. I’m not sure it’s really on to start criticising him for pushing out Harvey.
As I’ve said for a while, Harvey’s biggest issues are something he can do nothing about. He is small and he lacks pace. That could be overcome if he was at a team willing to build their attack around him, but he is nowhere close to being good enough to justify Liverpool doing that.
