Frimpong is so much more effective than Trent in defence, based purely on pace.

Some brilliant interplay and they are a defensively solid team, some outstanding play from Szob, Wirtz and Ekitike, but some of Mo’s passes have been next level.
Transition still looks an issue especially if the central vertical pass is cut out, just have to have patience.
Oh and how fast is Frimmy.

HT 1-1:
A brilliant half of football to watch. We have so much talent and pace over the pitch, and you can really see the potential for improvement the new incoming players bring to our game. We can really look forward to something once everything will start to click.
At the same time, we look fragile, and a bit too open. It’s not a matter of players on the pitch, it’s the system imo. Very much gung-ho football, but the solidity at the back is lacking so far. Hopefully Slot and co can work on a better balance between attack and defence, but it will most probably need a bit of time yet.

We are also lacking the full complement of centerbacks, plus the controlling play of Macca.
But the template is clearly emerging, especially in the build up phase.
The rotating cast of players creating new lines to bypass the high press is a joy…

That last bit is what I am loving, thought it was a bit of a weakness for us last season
