Liverpool FC - Pre-season

Some pretty boy that needs a good spanking, and there are several on here that would volunteer, and when I say several, I mean one.

Why did he show that when we fucked up and gave away possession, there are far more where we were excellent grrrr

The most interesting bit of that clip is when the overload down the right (their left) and Konate goes into 2v1 panic mode, but then realises his right back has actually bust a gut to get back.

Bit weak opponents, where are the top clubs?

But maybe some extra work on set-pieces.

Perhaps some top clubs are foregoing a trip to the USA? Let’s think about it… what reason could there currently be not to spend the pre-season training in the USA?

*I know, we can’t change it and we have to go there, but ultimately I don’t have to like it.

And…the Club is obviously choosing commercial appeal over competitive pre-season preparation with these fixtures.

Apart from the fact that there are certainly many here who would currently rather consciously forgo a trip to the USA, and that our owners are probably unaware of this aversion or don’t care for obvious reasons.

Maybe we can train on sewing us through the middle of a low block. Honestly, Wolves reminded me a bit about Glimt against Inter away, the way they stifled us playing through the middle, forcing us to the flanks, which we clearly do not excel at. Except Glimt was far better at it and so was Inter.

I’m gonna wait until I see our full list of friendlies, because usually we start with some local teams and end up playing an Anfield final test game against a side that is somewhat weaker than us.

Hopefully the latter isn’t the case as it might mean we’re gonna play the CS, which means we’re winning the FA Cup!

But other than that, I want the best sides. Football wise and commerical wise. Maybe even for the second part these teams will do the trick, but you want more variety and quality opposition.

I agree, hopefully we can also play very good teams. And teams with different styles of play…

Who knows, we may end up winning the FA cup. I would be utterly delighted if so. But I don’t believe we will. It’s a cup though, so we have a decent chance.

Nashville, New York and Chicago! Liverpool are off to the USA to face Sunderland, Wrexham and Leeds in pre-season

Im going to try to get up to NYC for the Wrexham game. Any idea when tickets for these things normally go on sale?
