They will presumably have properly planned for this, not just doing it on a whim.
Probably doing this to ensure that we keep our conditioning and match fitness up.

So this WC shite will go on for 6 weeks, I hope they start by sending the ones who will stay behind on a nice 10-day vacation in the sun.
As someone who hasnāt been called up by my national team, I have no choice but to agree that Liverpool should send me on vacation.
Iām looking forward to the WC/Winter/mid-season break. Because the thing we need most to fix our present ailments is time. That six-week break will be critical to our aspirations.
First, I hope Klopp will give the players a break. A big part of our problem this season is the accumulated fatigue of our key players. Since joining Liverpool, Robertson has played 238 games (20,431 mins) for the club and another 44 games (3570 mins) for his country. Salah has clocked 272 games (22,167 mins) for the club and 32 games (2899 mins) for his country. Unless injured, they were almost omnipresent for their respective club and country.
Alisson, VVD, Fabinho, Firmino, and Nunez are almost certain to feature in the Q22. Thereās the possibility that Konate, Trent, Henderson, and Thiago might join them too. Whoever plays, we should be prepared to play a couple of games without them when the season resumes. The return of Ox, Keita, Jota, and Diaz would be a huge boost. But I want the likes of Ramsay, Bajcetic, and Carvalho to be prepared for a bigger role too.
Finally, we should use the break to develop a system that can be used for the rest of the season. We have used several systems so far this season, and none of them has given us the solidity, cutting-edge, and consistency we will need for the rest of the season.
It really depends how long they last, you wouldnāt assume Uruguay would last long.
Brazil and probably Holland as well as England youād tip to go further.
Round of 16th finishes the 6th of December that would be enough time to come back and be ready, the QF you are probably looking at sub appearances as that ends on the 10th.
If they make the semi final that probably rules them out of Boxing Day what with the 3rd place.
If Konate goes he could be there for a while but the likelihood he plays a lot is probably low, same goes for Trent and Hendo to be fair.
Thiago probably doesnāt go so you are looking at outside that group our Brazilians.
Alisson - Going/Play a lot (at least QF)
Kelleher- Not going
Adrian - not going
Ramsey - not going
TAA - Possible/Play a little (at least QF)
Matip - not going
Gomez - not going
Konate - Possible/Play a little (at least QF)
VVD - Going/Play a lot (at least QF)
Robertson - Not going
Tsimkas- Not Going
Phillips - Not Going
Fabinho - Going/Play a lot (at least QF)
Henderson - Going/Play some (at least QF)
Thiago - Possible/Play little (at least QF)
Elliott - Not going
Carvalho - Not going
Bajectic - Not going
Milner - Not going
Jones - Not going
Ox Chamberlain - Not going
Keita - Not going (Injured return - ?)
Jota - Not going (Injured return - Jan/Feb)
Diaz - Not going (Injured return Dec/Jan)
Salah - Not going
Nunez - Going/play a lot (Poss L16/QF)
Firmino - Going/Play some (at least QF)
9 players - 6 will go for certain and probably 8 if not 9. As I said for those that play a little QF would still give them chance to play on Boxing Day if they make the SF best we could hope for is a sub appearance bar perhaps Alisson who has returned quicker than the 8 days, thatās if Brazil didnāt win it, Iām really not sure who is favourite but Lula inviting the Brazilian team would be delightful
If we beat Derby next week our first game after the WC will be the next round of the League Cup.
So those who are not going to the WC will probably start that match.
Wow is it before the Boxing Day games?
letās hope itās home and against another league 1 or 2 side.

Round four starts the day after the WC final.
W/C probably start on the Tuesday though wouldnāt surprise me if they have ties all the way from Tuesday to Friday.
Theyāve got Thursday next week and there are no league ties that weekend with the next games Boxing Day Monday.
Donāt see Fabinho playing āa lotā. Casemiro is their clear first choice. Weāll see who partners him in possibly a double pivot structure, could be Guimaraes or Fred. Fabinho will I think only play when someone needs a breather. He can be happy heās in the squad, based on recent form. But of course he has experience, etc.
Yeah Iāve got your point about Casemiro. He comes on in every game though.
Liverpool players getting the much needed rest and recovery over the World Cup period:
Salah
Diaz
Jota
Firmino
Thiago
Matip
Robertson
Elliott
Milner
Jones
Keita
Tsimikas
Carvalho.
Klopp: āWe are having our training camp in Dubai because it is just around the corner, if the boys get knocked out they will join us. Thatās one of the reasons we picked Dubai.ā
The 3 that I hope will benefit from this time are Matip, Keita and Diaz. Get them fit and ready for when we restart. Jota is still a long way off. But new setbacks and injuries and of high possibility, either within the camp or from the WC.
I read that Carvalho was being considered for the Portugal squad? Has he made a senior debut with them yet or could he still end up with England eventually?
He was part of Portugalās 55-man provisional squad. Played for England between U16 and U18, now part of Portugalās U21. Not made a senior appearance yet.
At least it has some reasoning for once.
Should there be no injuries, I do not see it as major problem, as these friendlies are over in one-week time, so that leaves enough time for those players to have a proper rest and prepare for the second half of the season.
Yeah Salah plays one game and the two Scottish lads play two.
Bar Carvalho who plays two the rest could do with the minutes (could make the case for Carvalho as well, the rest are U19s and Kelleher who could do with a game).
Wonder if Salah will just fly to Dubai from Kuwait.
Has just quit the Portuguese u21 scene.
