No idea, but Sadio is a passionate guy and he won’t have liked being subbed. Whether that’s a big deal, i don’t know, but we’ve had plenty of these situations before and they have turned out to be nothing, so maybe caution is the best policy.

No. He went up the platform but then he saw that there were some champagne bottles picked up by other players and he did not want to be soaked by the alcohol because he’s a Muslim.

Also some players may have preferred to see their family or got caught up doing interviews or just didn’t realise everyone has gone to the podium yet.
I imagine it’s a pretty busy few minutes - you look for your wife/kids, give them a hug and a kiss and before you know it you’ve missed a photo op and wankers on twitter start saying you’ve fallen out with the manager and are getting sold.

Just watched all the penalties again and Kelleher’s was an absolute peach. It’s tough once you get past the regular designated takers but all the lads rose to the occasion.
