Liverpool v Villa : Saturday November 1 , 20:00

I think Michael Edwards is hardly that knee-jerk.

Secondly, the last time we didn’t play in the Champions League was literally 3 seasons ago. We’ll be fine.

So you think if we loose the next 2 league games Slot keeps his job?

I think that we have internal models and metrics to determine whether a particular managerial situation is salvageable or otherwise.

Gotta be Szob he hasn’t played there yet, Milly on steroids

Or, Chiesa might finally get the Premier League start he longs for…

The timing we face teams has been diabolical in its own right this season.

United was down struggling for a couple of months, we face them when? When they finally coming from a win for the first time, and we have our first question marks.

Villa were losing lots of games and took them a while to start scoring, when do we play them? When they’ve won 5 back to back against difficult opposition.
Forest were in shambles with Ange, when do we play them? When Dyche is back and gets their first clean sheet, playing the exact type of football that we struggle against. They even have a few more games before we play them, to build that up better, and still be in their honeymoon phase.

No good time to play Palace, but they did drop visibly in their results after beating us in the League, while up to the point we played them, they had the longest I beaten run in Europe!!!

Dammit we have a lot of things to sort out, and massive improvement is needed, we do play way below our potential (and up to a point it’s understandable), but we could do with some fixture luck.

I hope that Grav is back. He was sorely missed as cover for our back line.

I am also hoping we see some tactical changes here designed to prevent the exact issues we’ve faced over and over again. Because you know Emery will be operating from the same playboook.

Man Utd had only won one game though decent against a Sunderland side.

If you mean @Notasuperfan, make sure to archive it too. It’s stuff that needs to be taught at school, lest we end up with millions of superfans.

He should be back, Slot said last night he’s the closest one to return out of current players out. My worry is that Jones won’t be fit for this one. But we’ll hear from Slot tomorrow.

  1. I stand corrected, somehow remembered it was two
  2. Point stands

If every player gave his effort!

Doesn’t really as they weren’t on any form. It was his first back to back win as a manager at Man Utd that’s what made it so apalling.

Guys still two away from a haircut

I think he’ll be in big trouble, esspecially if we get our asses handed to us by Madrid which looks likely at the moment.

Not that these things matter too much for the present, especially when the start dates a long way back, but I’ve found we have a better record against Emery’s teams than I had the feeling. 8-4-1. The only defeat being that horrible night in Basel.

Mamardashvili
Bradley Konate Virgil Robbo
Grav Szobo
Salah Wirtz Gakpo
Ekitike

He doesn’t look like he’s very keen on it. :smiling_face_with_sunglasses:

If we were playing away it would have me really concerned of getting a poor result. At Anfield, we always have a chance of turning on the style… Hopefully, the fans create a cauldron atmosphere, the players feed off it, and our fortunes begin to change… Might have to watch this from behind the couch though
