At least one of our players won a trophy this season.

Didn’t we win the community shield. :grinning:

Connor Bradley got his 5th of the season today, 1-0 win away at Exeter.

That should be his 7th in all competitions.

You’re right, I think I only looked at his league record.

Probably a Championship loan

Yeah he is definitely a league higher than the team he is playing with.

U18s beat Newcastle 4-0 - two wins on the bounce now having previously only won one of the last 12.

Lots of praise coming in for Leighton Clarkson who has formed a nice partnership with Luis “Duk” Lopes over the past few weeks. Lopes, a product of Benfica, is apparently set for a move to Atletico Madrid following his season in Scotland.

Clarkson has five goals and six assists this season and his form has improved when playing in more of an 8/10 role rather than playing as part of a two-man deep pivot. He has four assists in his last seven games and also he has added three “hockey assists” (the pass before the assist) in that time. Aberdeen fans think he is probably the best passer in the league.

The knock on him in Scotland has been his physicality, they see him as a bit light-weight, but technically he is one of the better players in Scotland. Turns 22 in October so you’d expect him to either be given a chance at Liverpool this year or find a new permanent club in the summer (I think a sale is more likely).

U18s vs Leeds

Mrozek
Miles Pitt Furnell-Gill Scanlon
Onanuga Davidson Kelly
Figueroa Danns Young

Great break by Liverpool - Danns winning it from the corner, Figueroa with a quick cross and Young was fouled by the keeper to stop a tap in.

Unfortunately looks like Young has picked up an injury as he went for the ball. Elijah Gift is probably about to replace him.

1-0 - Danns scored the penalty after a delay of about 8 minutes.

2-0 - A similar break away, good cross by Figueroa and Gift tapped it in at the back post.

3-0 - Lovely bit of play again by Liverpool culminating in Jayden Danns squaring to substitute Lewis Koumas and he turned quickly to fire it in off the crossbar.

4-0 - Towering header by Danns, getting on the end of a good cross by Josh Davidson

We smashed them they were shit :joy:

Doak, Koumas, Gordon, Young, Danns, Gift, Kone-Doherty, Figueroa… must be the most loaded I’ve seen us for attackers in the U18s.

U21s struggling at the moment, 1-0 down away at Everton. Haven’t got anybattacking flow gping, Ben Doak is being triple teamed at times and no one else has really looked a threat.

They’ve been in good form recently but not at the races yet today.

Ish Samuels-Smith sent off for a couple of hacks at Doak and Liverpool immediately go and score. Nice goal as Beck turned in the area and squared it for Max Woltman to score.

Liverpool U18s just kicked off against Derby. Liverpool are on a 3 match winning streak.

Hewitson
Davidson Pinnington Samuels Gyimah
McConnell Miles Kelly
Gift Koumas Danns

Trueman; Pitt, Onanuga, Roberts, Figueroa

1-0 Liverpool - Koumas: Koumas scores again, two minutes in after being set up by Elijah Gift.

1-1 - Cameron Ashier won the ball off Francis Gyimah after Liverpool’s corner routine broke down. He ran from the half way line and then was fouled by Davidson to win a penalty which he took and scored himself. I think the chance had gone when Davidson made the challenge. Derby have been the better team and deserve their equaliser.

Jayden Danns has missed a penalty for Liverpool. Fola Onanuga, who just came on as a substitute for the injured Francis Gyimah, won it in midfield and released Gift who was fouled as he destroyed the CB with pace. Danns stepped up but rolled a weak effort - looked to me that he stumbled slightly on the very poor pitch at Derby.

2-1 Derby - Wheeldon smashes into an empty goal as the impressive left back Gough powered his way past Josh Davidson and swung a great cross into the strikers feet.

3-1 Derby - Wheeldon again after Davidson gave the ball away and Ashier crossed it in well for a simple finish.

3-2 Liverpool pull one back straight away. McConnell scores from the penalty spot after Gift was nudged in the back. Looked a harsh penalty.

4-2 Derby have wrapped it up. Hattrick for Wheeldon. Poor goalkeeping as Luke Hewitson came charging out on a free kick and didn’t get to the ball, allowing Wheeldon to flick it past him in the 90th minute.

5-2 Derby. Ashier has a second, firing into the top corner after a bad clearance by Josh Davidson. Liverpool have been really bad in the second half.

Full Time - Derby 5-2 Liverpool. Koumas and McConnell scored for Liverpool who also missed a penalty. Derby were by far the better team in the second half as they pressed the life out of the Reds and forced several mistakes from the defence. It was scrappy but hard to argue that Liverpool get what they deserved.
