He doesnāt half remind me of Stevie he seems to have the same body proportions
Looks like Vincent Joseph is probably leaving - Man Utd, Dortmund and Bayern Munich are after him. 16 year old winger/striker.
Excellent player but I think Liverpool are currently pretty well stocked at youth level with similar profile players so I can see why he might question his own development path.
Also, TheSecretScout and Lewis Bower reported yesterday that kid Motsi from Leicester would move to Man City instead of Liverpool. I wonder if itās a revenge of sorts from Man City for not being able to lure Abe - Bower suggested they were playing the same position and that it would have been impossible to have them both in the same team.
Yeah that seems fair, Motsi is apparently a winger. Without having seen Motsi, Iām glad we kept Abe as for me he is the best in the country.
You donāt half raise my expectations of him, do you? ![]()
The hesitation I would have if I was Motsi is to look at Rio Ngumoha and Ryan McAidoo.
Both left Chelsea at the same time. Both England youth internationals. Rio plays LW, Ryan plays RW. Liverpool tried to sign both, and both were promised fast-tracking to the first team, obviously we got Rio and McAidoo went to Man City.
Fast forward two years and McAidoo has been Man Cityās best academy player by a mile in my opinion. He has been ārewardedā with two first team appearances in the FA Cup against Exeter (he scored) and Salford City, and so far doesnāt look to have a pathway to play more often.
Rio, by comparison, has 30 first team appearances and is well ingrained into the first team set up.
The big positive for youth at Man City is that not only are they getting premier wages when they sign there but they are almost guaranteed a high level opportunity when they leave so there is a lot of long term job security in it.

āXavier Parkerā sounds so damn cool!
Parker is a good player. Just turned 16 last month, scored 4 and assisted 6 in 13 games for Man City U18s.
Also his coach at England U16 level is former Liverpool U21s manager Barry Lewtas.
City probably wouldnāt like to lose him, they only picked him from West Ham a year or two ago. He plays centrally either in attack or midfield. Similar kind of player to Divine Mukasa who was out on loan at Leicester from Man City this year.
Itās interesting you can see the merry-go-round of players at this level pretty easily this season.
- Liverpool think theyāre going to lose Abe
- Go after Motsi to replace him
- Surprisingly keep Abe
- Motsi goes to Man City instead
- Vincent Joseph sees no pathway past Abe and Ngumoha so leaves for Man Utd
- Parker sees no pathway with Motsi coming in and leaves for Liverpool to replace Joseph
Plenty of time for a lot of this to not happen also. Thereās nothing as unreliable as teenaged boys!
Prince Kobe Cisseā¦has to the son of Djibril, Lord of Frodsham manor, with a name like that
He is, yes. Started off as a CF like his dad but moved to play as a winger then a FB and finished the season impressing at CB.
Obviously he is just learning the role but he has great potential as a CB. Physically his size is ideal but heās also got the speed and agility of a striker.
His dad was proper RAPID! I still remember that cross he dug out against Wesham just before our famous Istanbul night. The Westham defence (and everyone else watching) thought the ball was going to go out but Djibril chased it down and put in a cross and if I remember correctly we did score from it.
