Liverpool Youth Teams Thread

Liverpool have a second goal disallowed, the flag has been put up nearly a full minute after the ball went in.

Wow Kelleher has just made an incredible save as Bowler shot from 2 yards out.

That was brilliant from Kelleher.

Kelleher is the man. He would want to look for a loan move. Too good

Kelleher has had an incredible 5 minutes there.

Learning from the best in the first team. Looks like Ali on the ball. Very relaxed. Good future

Everton giving Cain, Clarkson and Woodburn way too much time on the ball. They’re just lucky that none of our forwards are really natural goalscorers or they would have been picked apart.

Woodburn off Dixon-Bonner on.

Liverpool 1-0 Everton FT.

Will be good to see Glatzel back. He has been unlucky with injuries.
No LFCTV coverage is disappointing, not even any highlights. Hope this is not going to be the norm.

It turns out that on the same day that Liverpool’s Under-23s were facing their counterparts from neighbours Everton in the mini derby at Kirkby on Sunday - defeating the Blues 1-0 in a Premier League 2 fixture - the Reds were also playing a Huddersfield Town ‘B’ team at Anfield.

Just a day after Jurgen Klopp’s side began the defence of their Premier League crown with a 4-3 victory over Leeds United, they hosted another Yorkshire opponent.

This ‘Under-23s’ side featured several high-profile over-age players though in the shape of James Milner, Divock Origi, Joel Matip, Adrian, Xherdan Shaqiri and goalscorer Takumi Minamino as they played out a 1-1 draw.

The friendly against Huddersfield B team
Was the likely reason some of the expected names e.g. Koumetio, Norris, Hardy, Hoever, Van den Berg, Elliot, Coyle were all missing
I assume they were all be expected to be involved in the League Cup tie v Lincoln in a week time
