Shame they are not both also called Terence, then we could have a Terence Trent Derby

Damn I forgot how quickly this season is going to start - I havenā€™t even begun doing my pre-season write ups yet :see_no_evil:

He undoubtedly struggled with the U23 step up this season but Iā€™d be surprised if we sanctioned a buy option.

Few injuries halting his progress but feel personally he hasnā€™t kicked on. Think a loan move back home would help him a lot. Definitely get rid of the option to buy imo, sure Dortmund was sniffing only last year, doubt these would give us more than a million for him. Send him out and see where he is next year. Seems to have a cult following on twitter also, seen someone saying he should get a prem loan move or upper championship :joy::joy:

Yeah itā€™s one reason you canā€™t rely on fan opinions for who their best youth players are (at any club). Most people see a few seconds of highlights and decide theyā€™ve found the new Messi.

I donā€™t really know the level of Polish football but Ojrzynski has gone back over there, wouldnā€™t be shocked if we were ok with Musialowski playing there. I think if he stays he would kick on alot and show his talent at U21 level. Most goalscorers struggle with that U18/U21 transition for at least a year.

Probably a good level for a lads first step in the mens game, in his home country he will be settled already, probably more comfortable than he is even here. A good setup for a successful loan. Top flight polish football probably a mix between championship and league one maybe?

That would sound like a fair assessment to my untrained eye on Polish football. Sounds like a reasonable level for his talent also. Hopefully by the end of the year heā€™d be one of, if not the, best young players in the league.

I donā€™t know how many youngsters are going to be taken but Iā€™d guess these players will be close to the travelling squadā€¦

GKs: Marcelo Pitaluga, Vitezslav Jaros
RBs: Isaac Mabaya
LBs: Owen Beck, James Norris
CBs: Jarell Quansah, Luke Chambers, Stefan Bajcetic

DMs: Leighton Clarkson, Tyler Morton
AMs: Melkamu Frauendorf, James Balagizi, Jake Cain

WFs: Mateusz Musialowski, Harvey Blair, Kaide Gordon, Bobby Clark
CFs: Layton Stewart, Max Woltman, Paul Glatzel

As a general question, do you know if there is any sign of another Fowler or Owen on the horizon in the youth set-up?

I was very hopeful for Brewster but those hopes obviously did not pan out.

Wonder will Harvey Davies get a selection like last time. I doubt Glatzel will be taken. Seems a tad old and probably to be moved on with one year left on his deal I believe. Sure a player like Cannonier would be more beneficial to a call up.

Also, when are the academy squad section of the website getting updated with the new scholars ?

No, I guess Musialowski would be closest to the Michael Owen description - heā€™s quick and runs with the ball a lot. There is no one of that calibre around currently though.

Itā€™s always hard to tell. We seem to have a few random youngsters who go along every year.

Heā€™s obviously versatile. In the England v Israel game the other day he played as the furthest forward on the left.
