All he does is run down blind alleys.

Doesn’t even want to be here, his dad keeps on twirking for Barca…get rid.

It is slightly worrying that he has been here two and a half years and still needs Ali to translate for him, though.

Be blessed, always.

If he improves his finishing, I wonder if there will be a case for buying a new left winger and selling Nunez in the summer. Of course, he’ll go on a dry spell now that I’ve suggested it but indulge me a bit for the sake of discussion.

Like I said after Leverkusen, him starting to do a job up top and doing it well so far isn’t good news for Nunez. Because he offers stylistically some similar traits to Nunez, but in a better way. Simply better overall quality.

And in the last two games now we’ve seen that when Nunez and Jota were on the pitch, it’s Nunez who was shifted out to the left wing position, not Jota.

It’s great to see Diaz adding more end product to his game, that was missing a little bit. I don’t think it’s at a stage where he’s first and foremost a striker. He remains a left winger, but it’s good to see that he might be one of the options centrally.

It’s a very nice addition because not all wingers or wide attackers want to go central (like Salah) or are able to (Gakpo had mixed success there and now he’s back in his main position).

Diaz seemed like someone who’s very much a winger (dribbler, hard worker, ball carrier) and that’s it, able to do a job on the opposite side.

So to see this little evolution from him is a very pleasant surprise.
