Managerial Merry-go-round

It’s looking like Bielsa will manage Uruguay. I’m looking forward to seeing what he builds there. They have a lot of exciting young talent.

So an Argentinian taking care of the Uruguayan team. I wonder how it went down there.

Have to calm Nunez down everytime he returns.

:joy:

A mistake me thinks

This is crazy. I thought he got some unfair stick over his nationality when he arrived at Leeds, but he simply isnt very good. He’s had 2 opportunities his track record didnt justify and failed quickly in both with very little in either even approaching a redeeming feature of his management. At this point the only things on his resume are title wins in Austria and him being an acolyte of Ralf. Salzburg had won the league in Austria for something like 10 straight years with a succession of different managers and Ralf’s coaching cred and “philosophy” has been greatly dminished by his Utd experience.

You can see how someone like Leeds might have taken a punt on him despite the failure at Leipzig, but how he can continue to even get interviews with clubs of this stature is astonishing.

That would be a poor appointment.

Is there anyone they can find for a few games?

Rafa available and they go for Marsch. Yikes.

Mick McCarthy has been sacked by Blackpool after just 14 matches in charge …:roll_eyes:

They did lose 9 of them.

Though you wonder what the point is, 7 off relegation with 6 to play, probably have to win half if not 4 (though QPR are crap). I can’t see it happening so unless the man you want to take you forward next season is suddenly available?

madness that all these teams have sacked theri managers with no new manager in place.

Some reports say by his own choice he quit the role

You write most poetically

Ha… Not sure if that is a good thing, bad thing, compliment or a slight :0)
My dear old mum always stressed that I should speak it same as I would think it, and to write it as I would speak it…!
It was advice that I followed most of the time, besides it make my dear old mum pop into my thoughts when I read back on some of the structure, or lack of, that I apply…
Hope anything I’ve ever written has not offended ya in any way…

It’s a compliment. Read that sentence back, it’s lovely.
A bit short on commas, but we’ll overlook that.

I did watch 30 mins of their game yesterday, another team that think 10 mins is enough to win a game.

They were bad.

When Ince was at Blackburn, the cameras managed to zoom in on his tactical notes. I believe he’d drawn a nice diagram of the pitch, with “SHOOT” and arrows pointing towards the opposition goal.

I want to see a black manager excel and smash through the glass ceiling by winning and competing at the highest level in the Prem.

When I looked at the stats a while ago, black managers were definitely under represented.

And even if the likes of Ince, or Campbell, might not be all that good in the grand scheme of things, there are plenty of LMA types who keep getting recycled around lower Prem teams.

Not sure on the solution, and don’t want to turn it into a racism thread as I don’t know enough info, other than to say I hope a black manager succeeds at the highest level, soon.

Patrick Vieira was a good step. More like that are needed, so someone will hopefully emerge from the lower to mid Prem level and put a marker down at the top.
