Isn’t he in the same Norway team which refused to participate in the Qatar world cup (disregarding the fact that they didn’t even qualify for that ) ?
Okay answer to that question.
.
Guess Human rights matter fuck all for the likes of Haaland and Odegaard when it comes to clubs.
Arsenal are sponsored by the Emirates for those who don’t know.
Their stadium name kinda gives it away

Anything that can be portrayed in a negative light, and used to give them a bad name, would be counterproductive to their overarching goal.
In a post-facts world where an outgoing US president was part of an attack on Capitol Hill and was re-elected four years, I suspect they are not too worried in the Emirates.

They are also sponsored by Visit Rwanda
If Man City gets nothing more than a measly point deductions for all the charges and a fine, I guess it might be the signal for all the other clubs to start finding sugar daddies and spend like crazy.
FSG might just be pressured to bow out of the game altogether in England when running a football club sustainably means nothing in England…
I’ll prob stop watching footy in the next 5-6 years. Whats the point when its a battle of the middle east owned clubs. Saudi have the capacity to make the PL a one horse race.

I stopped watching the Premier League aside from us quite a while ago.

Well, we all know the FA and the PL are as hard as a flaccid penis…The british government seems to be very afraid of offending the middle eastern folks…
To be honest I would not read too much into City transfers.
Many footballers are both greedy and gullible. Neves, Neymar, Kante, Mahrez etc are all playing in Saudi league are examples of that. Even Henderson regrettably put money first.
Also the city negotiating team are going to say to these players the risk is low, they are confident etc. they will say even if the worst happens it will be caught up in the courts for years.
A great example of players not doing due diligence was an old City transfer. Robinho didn’t know there were two clubs in Manchester when he signed.
Since you mention Neymar, my Brother-In-Law doesn’t watch any football and he offhandedly mentioned Neymar being the best player in the world the other day (I’m guessing he just assumed that would be the case with Ronaldo and Messi essentially retired) and at that moment I had absolutely no idea where Neymar was even playing now. I actually half thought he was retired.
Has to be the most overhyped player of all time right? He’s constantly been ranked as the 3rd best player in the world and there is precious little to actually show for it. How often has he even been the best player on his own team?
Neymar was kind of a marketing gag who appeared when Brazil had no world class attacking player for the first time in 1000 years.
My ex who is Brazilian seemed to know him strangely which suggests a lot as he hadn’t a clue about anyone else.
Advertisers wet dream but now he’s doing fuck all in some backwater league plus his neck tattoos are fucking dreadful.
Anyhow it can be read several ways if they faced a points deduction that relegated them they would probably come back up the season after.
They can cover the costs and will never be hit by the championship rules if they came up. Might fall foul of the PL general rules but that seems to amount to a couple of points.
They can also loan out, thing with Man City is they haven’t spent massively and have let a few players go the last few years. This is their first splurge in a while and a 9 year contract sounds the type you offer to protect an asset.
Whether they have titles removed will be another thing but I can see that being the type of thing they will fight for.
I continue to be baffled by his decision on the transfer and now his apparent reconsideration.
He’s a player I started watching years ago when Xavi first showed interest in him. I always thought that in terms of pure technical control of a game that he was better than Rodri.
But his decision on the transfer left me wondering about his mentality and professional ambition as a player.
And in terms of tactical fit, the choice of Arsenal, were it to happen, would be an inferior option IMO, compared to Slot’s LFC.
Watch out for Javi Guerra at Valencia. He could be the next top Spanish DM.

I was shocked to discover he turns 33 in a few weeks !
If I am honest I never once saw him have a good game, let alone a great game. Funny enough I typed his name into google, and a video came up. “Neymar destroys Liverpool”. The 2018 PSG came up. I couldn’t remember so I played the video. Thinking I was being unfair. Its a game where we lost 2:1 and he scored a tap in.
Watched it and it amounted to a few flicks and a couple of offside chances. My reaction amounted to meh.
Neymar was always good one of those players who was a PR construct first and a player second. He was never as good as his press.
I remember in one of our games against PSG, he did this wild flick skill thing to get past Milner, and the commentators absolutely creamed themselves. Only issue was that Milly stood his ground, Neymar went nowhere and it just petered put to nothing.
What is happening here? Neymar was a key part of one of the best forward lines in history (the Luis Enrique era MSN) and will end his career as Brazil’s all time top scorer, ahead of the likes of Romario, Ronaldo, and Pele (even including Pele’s unofficial goals).
He is clearly a person who enjoys football as much for the riches and fame it brings than for the football itself and so lives his life, and often conducts himself on the pitch, in a way that feeds into that sort of tabloid coverage of him, but at his peak he was at worst the 4th best forward in the world and played at that level for 5 or 6 years.

He was the third best player in the MSN frontline.
Anyway - city: reports they are looking to bring Douglas Luiz back. His time at city is a little different to most as it was work permit issues that prevented him playing while he was there. His move to Juve has seemingly not worked out so this could be a good move all around.
