Huge deflection. The issue is the illegitimate money Man City spent, over many years, and that they hid it, and did not cooperate by opening their books. Huge cheats.
Arsenal have been spending big for a few years. They are pushing it to their limits, but it is all within the rules and looks like a calculated gamble by them to stay up there and hopefully win the league.
Liverpool had a big summer, and also sold well. We earned every penny we spent, and we have quite a lot more wiggle room to do more, if we so choose. We are really well run.

Probably because he’s much closer to that than the ‘genius’ he gets described as by other football idiots. How on earth did he manage to win a CL with a Barca team of absolute cloggers and then repeat the feat after just another decade while managing absolute underdogs surviving on a shoestring? Must be his singularly brilliant management skills. Can you manage how successful he’d be if he had even had a middling side like Brighton or even Macclesfield to work with? Mind boggling…

Pep is a great coach. What inhibits him from being someone like Klopp is that he needs a cheque book.
For that matter Slot won the league without the chequebook as well.
Doesn’t take away from what Pep has brought to the game. But there needs to be some self awareness as well.

Pep got really arsey with one of the reporters in his post game over this. Pep raised it as a challenge and the reporter commented that he’d said during the week it wouldnt be an issue and wanted to know what changed. It was a totally fair questions, but Pep, unsurprisingly, acted like an arse about it
