Manchester City* - 130 charges (and counting...) (Part 2)

He wasn’t saying that when Abramovich’s millions were pouring in. Fucking hypocrite

Are you surprised?
His popularity only grew marginally because Pep is a bigger cunt than he is.

Mourinho is right in speaking out as he has.

When Abramovich was giving him all that dough at Chelsea, without looking it up, I think it was pre FFP, and pre PSR.

Obviously Abramovich prompted the attempt to try to introduce financial parameters in football, and Mourinho has definitely benefitted from mountains of roubles in his own career, so there is a certain hypocrisy at work here.

Be that and it may, he’s right about Man City.

Kyle Walker increasingly looks like the version of Neville who got hooked at half time in a game and then retired shortly afterwards without even waiting for the season to end.

Ederson is a mess. The two saves he was asked to make on Juve’s goal were both from close range, but keepers will be critical of how he went about it on both times.

How many years extension did Pep sign again ?

He’s a bang average keeper.

Have enough shots at him and he’ll crack. Teams haven’t done that in the past. Now with City’s defensive frailties. He is getting found out.

One win in 10 for City.

This has now got way beyond what i thought possible for City and their insanly expensive squad.

Was it directly after he signed that contract it all went to shit?

Nah I think around 4 or 5 games

Do think that Pep is tanking the champions league.

At this point , them playing two extra matches to get into the round of 16 will likely kill their chances of even getting into top 4 in the premier league.

He probably needs to focus on the league first.

While it grates to defend any Man City player, I just want to say Ederson has been messed about by Guardiola. He was unceremoniously dropped in the league recently, while Pep put a marker down as the big man/tactical genius. It backfired and they are still on a run of wretched form. So he puts Ederson back into the fray as if nothing happened.

Don’t get me wrong, goalkeepers have to be mentally strong, but in this instance, Ederson’s own manager is probably knocking his level down a step or two.

Where it all ends up for Guardiola is hard to say, but he doesn’t have the assured look of a serial winner, multi millionaire. Either he knows a big punishment is on the way, or perhaps worse, he knows he does not enjoy the acclaim or respect of his peers, as it has all been done with a cheat code. And it is eating at him, as they, and he, spiral downwards.

nahhh…

Ederson being dropped is just a day in the life of a pro footballer… Guardiola has every right to drop him and put him back in and not expect him to suffer fromsome kind of emotional stress…

its pretty much in the job title…

not a big fan of Pep, but if we are resorting to insulting him for dropping a player then reinstating him, then i think we’ve crossed some kind of divide

Fair enough. I stand guilty of trying to find more reasons to stick the boot in!
