I think Gomez and Minamino will ask for moves in order to play for inferior teams on a more regular basis. I don’t see us getting eight figures for Phillips, then again it would be Bournemouth and they like over-paying for our cast offs.

I think the big conundrum is Mo. if he won’t sign a new deal, and if Mbappe goes to Real Madrid, there’s every chance Mo goes to PSG.
At that point we would possibly sign Antony, or maybe even try for Adeyemi if his deal to Dortmund is not watertight. Maybe Nkunku or David, hard to say.

I think you’re missing the point, quite possibly on purpose.
Everyone knows that Loris Karius is going to leave this summer, as his contract expires. So, when he inevitably gets released by the club, he will not count for the purposes of this competition.
Now, if some club were stupid enough to pay a fee for him, he would count… but even Man U aren’t that stupid (I think).
But if, as expected, he leaves on a free you won’t be getting a point for him. Same applies to any other player who leaves on a free transfer, for an undisclosed/nominal fee or is released by the club.

Taps self on back. Looks like I called the potential price for Minamino pretty damn close. According to the Twitter thread our price is 17 mil and Inter are supposedly interested.
However, if one is just over the price then that would be bust, would it not?

I think that Atletico’s sporting director said the other day that their days of big spending are over (yeah, no wonder when you pay through the nose for players who aren’t fit to wear the shirt) but I still hope that Firmino might be of interest to them because of his playing style and the fact that Suarez is leaving and their other forward options are gash.
The total sum raised is what counts, not individual player values.
Even then, that’s only the second tiebreaker.
