Good news. Salah is slightly past peak and it is unlikely he continues this output - which is phenomenal. But it is likely he will continue to be a reliable source of goals and assists, while remaining a leader in the dressing room and a consummate pro.
Good news, and 2 years seems right.
I do think we need to get another winger in, hopefully blistering pace to get behind them, who can see plenty of action and keep Mo fresh and cover for AFCON.
Ditto if Virg signs, we need to sign another central defender and I am hoping it is Huijsen.
Anyway, good news. Now let’s see what else we do in the market, as we need to strengthen.

If he continues at the level he has this season he’s a superman it’s one of his best seasons up until March.
An average Mo season or two will be fine.
It will be about managing both players more in terms of minutes. I have wondered about previous Mo contracts and Europe.

Exactly mate. An average Mo season is still 20-30 goals all comps. There’s many teams in the top half of the league who’d sell their soul for that.

Would have been over the moon with 3 year deal as he could have broken Alan Shearer’s record. Hopefully he gets one more year. We should have atleast had an option to keep him for one more year. Not sure why we are very scared especially when Saudi guys adore him and they have unlimited funds literally.
Yeah I’m happy with the 2-year, but would have liked a club option for a third year. If he’s still scoring 20+ league goals a season two years from now, you’d expect us to want to keep him on.
