Mohamed SALAH: 2020/21

Technically, he will be quarantining

I’ve no idea anymore. Do you follow the protocols of the country you’re currently in or the one you live in? Can he even come back to the UK before completing his isolation?

Mane had it but all the squad didn’t have to isolate but surely testing positive within hours of direct contact with other players means they all should.

Either way, it’s highlighting the rank stupidity of playing international football at the moment.

Losing Mo also gives us less options for CB.

Keep fingers crossed Alisson and Bobby don’t come back with COVID-19 one of their team mates has tested positive and is self isolating but when they immediately tested the rest of the squad they all tested negative for now

He hasn’t given it to anyone else yet though. Bloody selfish

As if this international break isn’t unnecessary enough what a idiotic decision from Mo to attend two super spreader events during this pandemic.

Embarrassing to see him dance with loads of people around him and his mask under his nose.

I‘m also coming from a culture where hundreds of people attend wedding parties but in 2020 none of my cousins or friends is getting married or at least not with such a big event because it would be just stupid.

Everyone is trying really hard to get this football during pandemic work and Mo just using the international break as a break from the restrictions. It’s disrespecting by Salah IMO.

A bit overblown. Not like he has broken curfew like some of the England youngsters, or like Walker with hookers.

Well Law of averages suggest we needed more of the Attack to miss games too. And get caught up to the defense.

It’s that type of fucking season we’re having.

At least Foden, Greenwood and Walker weren’t tested positive for COVID (but maybe for some venereal diseases).

Salah would get a fine if he wouldn’t be the superstar he is and if he would play for England or Germany for example.

The moment i saw the video of him dancing it was clear he will be positive. Irresponsible act here by Mo because he should know that everybody will try to get near him and hug him in Egypt.

I find it hard to be judgmental when it comes to family, especially such an important celebration. Its not like his family should revolve their live around him. As far as I can see from the video, he is the only person with a mask, even though its not covering his mouth or nose at the time of recording, it does however demonstrate that he is taking precautions albeit not perfectly.

On the bright side he’s asymptomatic so he’ll get a two game rest and come back refreshed and ready to go. Everyone’s complaining about the condensed fixtures so we can’t really complain about our star player catching a break. So long as that’s all he catches.

At least he won’t be getting injured playing in a pointless international match.

That’s the odd thing considering what he is missing I’d rather he get it now than 4 weeks from now. Plus he gets a rest which he probably needs

But we don’t know how COVID will affect him. Like @GermanRed said everybody wants to hug and touch him.

Let’s hope for the best we are getting hits enough already.

It’ll be the 1st thing he passes to Sadio :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Have you seen the video ? Mohammad Salah can’t be a holy cow for us as fans, the video showed extreme irresponsibility and it is what it is. Not saying he should be persecuted in any way, we all make horrible mistakes in our lives, but what he did is as irresponsible as you can possibly get during the Pandemic, which everyone knows is sweeping through the Middle East. I mean, how could he not catch the virus with that behaviour ? Impossible not to catch it then. Obviously, at least 1-3 people in that wedding party is infected, it is common sense. This was much, much worse than breaking a curfew. It is not even comparable. Those who broke curfew met like 1-5 people, at least those in Iceland, a country with far, far, less infection. Seriously

If you can criticise other teams players for major and minor mistakes, then Salah should be criticised for a gargantuan one.
That having been said, this should be the end of it. I am sure he is intelligent enough to understand that he has made a major mistake that directly has very negative consequences for his team and team mates. Forgiveness should come immediately. But the error was grave. Very grave.
