Mohamed SALAH: 2024/25

I wish he’d stop talking about it in public. Whatever happens, happens but i doubt that his constant crying to the press does him any good with Hughes and Edwards.

Quite the opposite, I should think.

Just a thought… What if MO or his agent has demanded he gets picked for every game he is passed fit…
Would we be right to hold back on such a contract then…!
For me…
No way should we allow something like that to be passed.

All in all… None of us have got a clue what is being discussed, and as such, none of us know who is wearing the white hat, or who is wearing the black hat at the moment :0)

I think there has actually been fewer comments in public from Mo and his agent this time than through his last contract renewal 2-3 years ago. It’s definitely a game they know how to play to try to pressure the club.

Wasn’t this over a week ago he said that…

Seems to suggest it’s on Sky but I’m sure the last utterance was also Sky.

So he is eithier saying the same thing when anyone asks or it’s a week or two old news being presented as new.

Yeah BBC randomly rehashed the comments and put it on the front of the sport section. Just hunting for clicks.

No, it was from his Sky interview that first aired yesterday. It’s actually a good interview. BBC and Sky just cherry-picked a sentence for headline clickbait

So he is repeating what he said elsewhere then.

I think that tells you what he thinks about it.

Why

Mohamed Salah is keen to stay put at Liverpool and it is understood his agent, Ramy Abbas, is on Merseyside this weekend and expected to visit Anfield on Sunday when Arne Slot’s team entertain Manchester United.

Mo and Trent are leaving Virgil behind?!?

Could be^^^^^^ as Virgil is the only 1 on the move ,with the other 2 standing still

Or maybe it’s a sign that his pay in his new contract is behind the other two?

He is saying Trent is leaving because Mo got it put into his new contract that he’s about to sign that Mo gets to take those free kicks. Mo is so single mindedly focused he doesnt even see Virgil in the picture

It would be nice if we had someone who scored directly from free kicks more often than we do,although i don’t think it’s that common for any club/player.

How did you get a look at Mo’s new contract? Is your cousin’s sister best friends with Mo’s hair restoration guru?

I am Ramy

I always wanted to see the late, great Sinisa Mihajlovic in red, purely for the free kicks.

I think Mo is telling the truth here. We are far apart in contract talks. Nothing new in terms of as it stands its his last season here.
If it is I just hope the club have a player lined up producing what Mo does for the £40-50m it would take to keep him here for 2/3 years.
Same with VVD.

Mo just posting stuff and giggling in his bed and the world, body language experts (both amateur and professionals), journalists and kids (or adult kids) pulling their hairs out trying to figure out what he wanted to say.

We don’t know what Salah will produce in the next 2-3 years. If his current level could be extrapolated out, then of course, sign here! But the tricky part of the analysis is to gauge the potential rate of decline over the course of the contract, how much salary we should pay for that, and then decide if it is better to go with a new player. It’s not straightforward.

And on that note, if it is a new player, I very much doubt they will put up the numbers of goals and assists that Salah has amassed. We have to view the attacking unit as a whole, and spread out the responsibility. Mo has been unique from the wing in the numbers he has put up.
