Mohamed SALAH: 2025/26

You’ve done the same thing the last 3 or 4 times you’ve responded to me, and in between you’ve managed to accuse me of gaslighting.

Act like a cunt and you’ll be treated like one.

Show me where I tried to pretend we beat Sunderland, or shut the fuck up.

Don’t play the hard man, it doesn’t suit you.

So what you are basically saying is that you can’t show me where I tried to pretend we beat Sunderland. :+1:

^^

I’ve already acknowledged I misunderstood your point. What the fuck are you talking about?

Talk of a formula on my part is too much.

I should have more properly said, “After many losses we just won a game at West Ham, without Salah in the side, and some of the expensive new attacking talent we brought in showed us a little more than they had managed to so far this season. Oh, and we were also more solid on the right flank.”

Something like that would have been more accurate, rather than talk of a formula.

I get the trite comment, but you should know that the week before 19th placed Nottingham Forest beat us handily. Plenty of dross teams, to use your word, have managed to beat this Liverpool side this season.

I retract the formula comment, as that implies we have cracked something, when we haven’t, and there’s a long way to go before we can say that.

But in the last two Prem games we have a win and a draw, with only one goal conceded. It is not what we have been used to, following the magnificent champions, but it does represent a slight upturn on what we’ve been getting for a while now.

We found a formula around a year ago when he found the combination of Salah, Gakpo and Diaz. That was our best attack last season.

I think Leverkusen was the first time we did that. Just like Rafa in the Inter home leg, I think that’s the first time he put Kuyt on the right and Gerrard behind Torres.

It will take more than a game to see it and call it a winning formula.

I understand we cannot suddenly win 15 in a row (I mean, we can, but it’s not something we expect), but we’re struggling to make more progress and find consistency.

I have copied this over from the Leeds pre-match thread (74) as it is slightly more reflective, and directed towards the ongoing MO situation.

MO’s value to LFC is akin to a treasure chest full of Gold coin. With his departure from Anfield on the cards in the near future, handling him with kid gloves in the meantime, might be the most lucrative way to replenish the transfer coffers.

What we see with MO, is a financial asset to the club if he departs on good terms; without screwing us over; and at the right time to secure a huge transfer fee…

Hard to remember a time, if ever, when the tail wagged the dog at Anfield… but with plenty of Camel Racing winnings burning a hole in the chest and side pockets in the thobes of the many interested parties in the Saudi League… football has never had chance to move ageing players on for such high stakes before.

Looked at in a mercenary way, FSG could recover more funds into the kitty from selling MO to Saudi, than they would get from winning the PL title… Yes this season might be a write-off regards coming top of the league, but securing a higher bounty, could well come down to how MO is treated this season..!

Don’t believe this article was posted before. I really hope that Mo gets back to the elite level and re-stabilise our forward line. He is a smart guy…, if not just to shut the outer up. :fu:

“He doesn’t have to prove anything to anyone, he’s a legend for Liverpool and a legend for Egypt.”

Has to look at his own performances, if people had promised he could play that poorly and play still then fuck me.

He now has to go sadly in my view. Thanks for the memories.

I was waiting for this when he was benched for the third match in a row.

Mo’s comments are no surprise, but if he wants to know why he’s being snubbed, it’s for a mentality reflected in comments like this:

“I don’t think I’m the problem. I have done so much for this club, to get the respect I want to get, and I don’t have to go every day fighting for my position because I earned it.

“People will say ‘you’re not bigger than…’, I’m not bigger than anyone, I just earned my position.”

No one is entitled to anything. You earn your position like everyone else. You were given a dozen+ matches to find some form, and you’ve offered nothing offensively and a huge liability defensively. No one has unlimited credit. You have to fight.

Extremely disappointed with Mo airing dirty laundry out like this.

No player is bigger than the club. Mo seems to have forgotten about that.

This ranks high in narcissism, we’re veering into Balotelli territory. This guy might leave a huge steaming shit on his way out.

This is fucking huge. I don’t remember this happening at LFC. Ever!
