Mohamed SALAH: 2025/26

define a decent fee?

the Saudi’s will know the situation at LFC, between Mo and LFC and will exploit it to lower the transfer fee

If he leaves, that takes a huge chunk off the wage bill. His transfer fee was amortised long ago. Did he have a signing on fee this time? Any transfer fee would be a bonus, but it would only be substantial if there was a bidding war for him. I suspect that he may still have suitors.

Yup this is where i am, i think certain players actually do, as seen think they are above not just above the manager but also other players.

We all knew this club was going to have be rebuilt from the moment players like mane , roberto and hendo left and it was done with a certain sharpness that was effective…and then klopp left …

The club gave slot the job and many expected us to be nowhere…we won it and mo was instrumental in that…but we all saw that the owners invested massively for the rebuild to start this season, slot has the players but it seemed that rather than adapt and welcome the challenge , mo seems to want to live in the glory of last season and that think he should start because he doesnt have to earn his place.

The fact that his performances have dropped off for all to see except him is an issue, the fact that in those 3 games he was dropped , we are unbeaten, makes me think he is oblivious to it.

Owners/ Edwards and Hughes need to keep this in house , but they need to make it clear the manager is backed, and moreso if their really is a case that the dressing room is fractured then those who like salah have issues need to be told to look for a new club to stop the toxic atmosphere.

Slot will then need to be told what is expected , and then build on the unity and the spirit that is the Liverpool way.

Mo might be a situational pillock but Vini is a permanent pillock

We were minutes away from a win, an improved mood in here, jump up the ladder and a headline maybe saying like Liverpool showed some spirit to come back from 2 sudden goals blah blah. Instead it’s now a total debacle.

Way to go Mo. I’m furious. Un Liverpool.

Singled out? Who hasn’t been over the last 12 matches. Where do I start. Wirtz, Isak, Konate, Macca, Slot, assistants, Jota RIP, Hughes, Gakpo VVD. All were blamed at some point.

Slot has deservedly copped plenty but he can’t be blamed for benching a player whose form dipped regardless of past heroics. Communications behind closed doors well we don’t know what goes on.

Now out comes all the fake stories, noise and pile ons.

Fuck it I’m in the Slot camp on this one. Would love him to leave Mo in Liverpool and engineer a win in Italy.

I keep seeing a figure of €40,000,000 bandied about, but that assumes that someone will stump up that amount. He does have a high profile, so I could see a few clubs seeing him as a star attraction, but I suspect only a few could accommodate his wages.

We were all saying Mo should be benched way before Slot did it. The club have to back Arne fully on this or they are paving the way for all manner of shit in the future. They can deal with Arne’s own situation after they deal with Mo

Exactly.

I’d add from a purely practical point of view, if the club think Slot isn’t the right man to carry on with, it makes far, far more sense to let him deal with the Salah issue rather than drop it in the new guys in tray.

That’s right he was given plenty of game time against the TAN barometer.

Anyway it’s reached a head and ironically the African Cup is timely. Wins will help deflect the nonsense and maybe this is the catalyst for the team to show some real character and start winning again. Hope so.

I didn’t like it before when he threw a mighty hissy fit at Klopp everytime he was benched and I think he really shit the bed after his latest outburst. He must be kept away from the AXA from now on.

Its almost as though he’s learnt how to piss of the fan base simply by talking to isak

I can understand his anger, especially if Slot hasn’t communicated properly with him recently, as he seems to say. However, I share everyone’s disappointment. Why on earth go public with this, especially at a difficult moment for everyone at the club?

The only way out is by everyone regrouping and working together. Instead of this, we have now another internal fire to fight.

Very disappointing from Salah. If he truly cared he’d be doing this internally. All this has done is create instability and now both Slot and Van Dijk will be under much more scrutiny and pressure to respond in future interviews (as well as any other player that gets a microphone put in their face).

No benefit at all in Salah doing this except to serve his own interests only.

Hopefully the statement where he said he didn’t need to fight is just him not getting the correct English across but it doesn’t seem it based on his overall interview as he seems to be of the opinion he should never be dropped regardless of how shit he is.

His past performances earned the new contract he got. That’s all. He deserved that contract for everything he’s done. But that doesn’t mean he deserves to be in the starting 11 going forwards if he doesn’t deliver anything.

Yeah, definitely Hughes territory and I’ll closely watch how that unfolds. If he fails handling this situation and lets Slot hang to dry with this problem, he should leave the club before the Dutchman imo.

So disappointed in Mo. He’s dropped for 2.5 (?) games after playing so poorly in a team that just cant carry him and thats enough for him to say that.

Think it’s time for him to go play in the Sand or whatever.
