I know this is the first thing that came to everyone’s mind. But this is an interpretation. watch Arne’s news conference yesterday, he is not sure at all about half the things Mo said. Having seen it a few times it really does feel like an off the cuff petulant emotional outburst that’s been simmering inside his head for a few days. He’s not told anyone about it, definitely not his agent who would’ve told him to shut the fuck up. So let’s treat it like that and not make on misjudged extrapolations that makes things worse.
Maybe if Mo always spoke off the cuff from the heart post match. But he doesn’t and this wasn’t even directly after the game. Unfortunately either he does a big mea culpa privately and something appropriate publicly or he’s gone. TBH, I think we’ve seen his legs have gone and, if Arne had been under pressure to play him regardless earlier in the season, we’ll be a stronger side without him.
That comment came from a poster who takes a legends name, and doesn’t understand what a legend actually is. For weeks he has been in multiple threads calling for Salah to be dropped. And he is extrapolating a simplistic meaning to what Salah did.
All of this with the caveat that the majority of us do not agree with how Mo handled this.

what are you talking about?!
why would that make things more understandable?
quiet, reticent guy, who we know can be emotional has a circumstance presented to him that he has never faced before. And in addition with his loss of playing status, team on the performing, one of his close teammates just passed away untimely. I saw Mo bawling his eyes out after the Southampton match. He is not in a right frame of mind. And you treating him as if he’s some regular player. He is absolutely not you have to take them to consideration. His goals helped us win two league titles, a champions league, and the club World Cup. He’s the third highest scorer for us. Ever. Those are not things to be taken lightly.
A legend like Kenny never behaved in such a way.
not everyone’s the same. You can’t judge everyone with the same level of understanding and presence that Kenny has. Kenny is unique. That’s like saying Klopp would never do this while comparing Arne to him.
It’s not the same
If he was peak Suarez the owners etc would be moving mountains to keep him. Given where he is now, I think they will pragmatically decide to get rid.
That was in response to @Quicksand (once again) making a personal attack referencing my user name. He brought Kenny into it for reasons unknown.

i’m not gonna get into an argument about this. But you don’t just take out a top player, a legend, and someone that the entire team holds in high regard, love, and looks to for leadership and just chuck him out. It’ll cause the team to become even more fragile mentally. And the team will start distrusting the management and the ownership. It’s not as simple as that. Yes, if Mo pushes for an exit then fine. But chucking him out just because of this would be a bad move by the club in my opinion

disagree. he was absolutely a great player, but was also a big liability media wise, and the whole racism thing as well. Regardless of whether there was some kind of misunderstanding or miscommunication, you just don’t go in that direction. And then the whole biting thing. But we’re going off topic.
Mo is driving all this. You can’t have a player demanding to play while contributing nothing and behaving as he has after being dropped for 2.5 games. If you allow that then the team will be an undisciplined rabble and former pros who have come out understand this. Mo either retracts (publicly) and apologises (privately) or he has to go. Mo will understand this so if he goes it’s not ‘chucked out’ but engineering a way out because he either knows the writing is on the wall about his level or he can’t stomach the idea of sitting on the bench and fighting for his place.
yeah I do agree that there has to be some sort of a message coming from Mo to reconcile this because as you said, he started it

Mo is on 400k a week. He knows the club will allow him to move on if he isn’t playing almost every week. He isn’t doing this to force a move.
No he’s hoping he can force Slot/the manager’s hand so that he gets to play every game regardless of performance.
Everyone deserves a 2nd chance but he needs to gorge himself on a heap of humble pie to everyone involved with the club.
Regarding Carra, he was a one man club and Liverpool was his life and if someone attacks the club he will take it personal.
It isn’t surprising that he has gone in with full barrels
Perfect time to have a thinking about your life choices.
Carragher is irrelevant, it’s between Mo, the club and Arne.
I agree with you on what Mo said to the media, he was well out of order. Many players have gone to the press and Mo won’t be the last to do it in this modern football era.
I will have to agree to disagree on this issue. Mo is not the only one playing badly in the team. Arne also, should have handled it better by telling Mo why he wasn’t picking him instead of benching him without explanation.
With regards to Carragher, he was disgenuous with his remarks on Mo.
With regards to his behaviour, he got a reprieve from Sky Sports from his infamous spitting incident’.
I feel sad.
We are all fighting with each other in here.
Its Christmas time, where is our goodwill to all mankind gone?
Nice to see he’s in the gym in Kirkby, still working hard, when Dubai is only a short flight away.
