Mohamed SALAH: 2025/26

Aye, for as unbelieve as the 4-0 come back was, the shock at losing the first leg by 3 goals when having played that well was almost at the same level.

I hated football after that game

I hated life after that game. Fun fact: I refused one of my mates’ plea to go out and watch the return leg in a pub because I had completely given up any hope of a comeback. Instead, I stayed at home and watched it via an online stream (albeit an HD stream) and I found out that Origi scored like a minute or so after the whole world had known about it. I loved life after that game.

When Origi scored I was still no not buying this, I was so focused on 4 that when Gini scored the third didn’t realise we were level. (Long dumped commentary) think bar the title last time I had it on was the CL final in 2019.

After those horribly taken shots, I’d take him out of the team for tonight. We’ll really need everyone on point and being defensively active.

Looking forward to see what Salah and some other players have to say about Slot when it’s over.

It is a shock to see us make 5 subs, including an appearance for an 18 year old, and see Mo remain on the bench. But he was diabolically bad against City on the weekend. In an awful team performance he was probably the worst of the bunch. If there was ever a time for Mo to not see any time it was after a performance like that in a game like that.

I’d also keep him on the bench tomorrow.

Fortunately, Slot didn’t forget to bring on his favourite son, Gakpo – the very same Gakpo who scored a crucial goal about two years ago.

Mo had immense stats last year and played both games agaisnt PSG and Nuno Mendes didn’t give him a sniff and was also a threat against us going forward as Mo doesn’t do defensive duties very well.

So no issue with him not being part of the team or subs.

Its not like Frimpong was bossing it though? Why use five subs and leave him on the bench?
He was poor vs City, but so were a lot of others.

We’ll never see Mo Salah in the CL for us again.

That’s so sad
