Getting to the point where this may be his last ever goal for Liverpool. Although, he does enjoy Old Trafford.

That’s one way to “manipulate” statistics. Okay, they’re calling it the Premier League now; I forgot again that everything before apparently doesn’t count. Why ?? That’s very strange for me tbh

Before the Premier League, they always used to quote stats in terms of post (Second World) War, as if achievements before that didn’t count. In truth, it’s very difficult to compare any era as the rules and technology change over the years, but this is really just the Premier League promoting their “best league in the world” shtick and hoping that people forget that football used to be far more entertaining.

Really heartbreaking not to see Mo to be on the pitch for LFC if this is true. :sob:

Liverpool star Mohamed Salah and Egypt captain were injured in the hamstring (original translation was “back muscle”) muscle during the match against Crystal Palace in the English Premier League.

Egypt manager Ibrahim Hassan told FilGoal.com: “Mohamed Salah’s injury is a muscle rupture and he will be out for 4 weeks.”

“The technical staff of the Egyptian team will follow the developments of his condition, and God willing, he will be in the World Cup naturally.”

Hope it isn’t though if it is hopefully a 10 minute cameo final day.

I remember Dixie Dean’s 60 league goals in 1927-8 season being talked about in the 1960s / 1970s

Everton fans still talk about it now, because there’s nothing else, apart from LFC of course.

When it comes to Everton, I’m never fair these days.

In all the years I follow this footbal club, I’ve never ever witnessed so much bad luck in terms of injuries. Never.

And this one is particularly enraging. Depriving him of his final games at Anfield, and just when he was getting into form again too.

Particularly as he has always seemed to be one of the most injury resistant players. Is that age catching up with him or our training regime this season?

Yeah, that’s the question. It could be age catching up with him, training regime, and it could also be bad luck. But at which point is ‘bad luck’ still credible? The amount of long- and medium-term injuries this season are really on another level.

2 things come to mind, the effort he made in that particular game and the contact he received when he got the injury.

We seem to have had several hamstring injuries. It’s possible the training regime is contributing to the problem.

according to his national manager Salah wont play again this season.

Its a sad way to end it, but unfortunately that is very often the case.

Could’ve told you that when he was subbed, any muscle related injury at this club is minimum 6-8 weeks out.

Wonder if its possible to give him an NFL-style “one game” contract for him sign off properly…

He’ll be there for a proper farewell, that is most important.
