Moises Caicedo (DM/CM/RB) Brighton and Hove Albion

Feels like this is the inevitable conclusion for top level football. entities with obscene amounts of money spending obscene amounts of money to acquire all of the top talent and consolidating power into just a few teams at the very top while everyone else feeds on scraps.

As much as I hate to admit it, the US pro sports model of salary caps and collective bargaining agreements seems to be the most sustainable model long term for avoiding stuff like this.

I miss the pre-internet days when players were announced by an official club press release after all the paperwork was signed.

The media is embroiled in a self-flagellating gossip spree purely to collect clickbait revenues.

Im now feeling oddly confident we’ll get it over the line

I think Chelsea are as likely to come back having resigned Billy Gilmour for 100m as they are Caicedo

I get the feeling the 115m figure is been banded around to get Liverpool to drop out which then lets Chelsea say look only us interested.

Which is exactly why we shouldn’t withdraw our offer.

Exactly.

its desperation and anger… its fine, jus pony up dumb and dummer and u can have him…so easy, not complicated at all. its the easiest negotiation they will ever do.

If we bid 125 million Chelsea will back out of Lavia deal and go all in on Caicedo. But the problem is if they don’t bid and Caceido accepts to join us we will be in trouble as i don’t want Caicedo anyway. Hahaha.

Who wins it CG?

Isn’t it the opposite way around at the moment?

But what’s the point we are going to smash them at the Bridge anyway!!! Lol…

never let the truth get in the way of a true story.

Is that Floyd Mayweather?

We should only withdraw if Brighton inform us that Chelsea have outbid us. Until then, just keep cool.

Dunno, is it? Who knows. Depends what you choose to believe. Is it beyond Chelsea to do a 170m double deal for both players? I don’t think so but the great thing about it is time will tell.

the fact that dumb and dumber are now leading this speaks for itself…

first things first, pay for Caicedo.

Pretty sure this scenario is the plot of a posthumous Tom Clancy novel.
