Naby KEITA: 2020/21

Ox managed to have memorables moments like those Man City performances years ago. In addition, for all of his injuries, he still managed to outperformed Keita in terms of availability, at least he was able to show up for an extended period during the 2019/20 season and without Covis he most likely would have been called up for Euro, together with Hendo, Trent and Gomez.

OTOH, Keita has been largely injured/unavailable for 3 straight seasons. If a player gets injured for 3 straight seasons, he is not going to suddenly show up and play 40 matches in the 4th one. That’s not going to happen, period.

Anyway, neither of them can compete with Jones now, as the young boy is much fitter physically than both. While we should add another midfielder, I would like to see Jones as the fourth midfielder.

I admit AOC stats are better, but has was here a season earlier.

Games Minutes Goals Assists
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain 104 4,548 14 11
Naby KeĂŻta 76 3,926 7 4

At least AOC is more effective which for me means Keita is the priority on the outs list.

Haven’t you heard, he is a very sensitive guy and he needs special care.

Just not so adamant as I saw a fuck of a lot of Gini and very little of Keita.
Also with Gini it was that imo he wasn’t good enough (and invisible) with Keita I haven’t a clue so it’s all based on availability which goes to a toss up between him and AOC.
It, of course, is all dependant on bringing in a new face.
I think it’s evident that AOC holds all the cards here, Homegrown, better numbers similar availability.
We should also be looking at moving AOC eventually but one at a time is all my little mind can cope with.

Looking at Chamberlain’s and Keita’s recent numbers isn’t a fair comparison as a lot of Chamberlain’s recent G/A have come from a forward position. His midfield game has been dreadful since returning from his injury.

I struggle to understand how anyone can think Gini was rubbish for us.
What possible logic can you be using?
He might have had some poor games but to not rate him as a player for us is baffling.

Sometimes he was rubbish and sometimes he wasn’t.

Which is why Home Grown is 1st on the list. In other words Keita takes up one of the valuable 17 spots. So selling Keita opens one of those spots i.e there’s a bigger field to chose from for the in coming, in theory.

More like sometimes he was rubbish but a lot of times he was good and a few times he was excellent. But then again what would Klopp know?

Sorry don’t agree with that.
He is a machine and he was asked to a job for LFC by Klopp and done it excellently. OK, Sometimes you don’t notice him but not in the same way as in not noticing Nabby or Ox at times when they play.

I think losing Gini for free is a shambolic decision by the club considering he has hardly missed any games in his time here, played nearly all last season and the club are left with a bunch of injury prone midfielders. It seems he wanted a 3 year deal (like he has with PSG) and we offered 2. If true its madness to lose him for the sake of 12 months.

PSG can afford to piss money up the wall, i wouldn’t want another 3 years of the Gini of the last 3 months, being better than people that can’t string a run because of injuries just means we need to get rid of them rather than give Gini a 3 year contrant, using the word shambolic is just being wet.

You’re a funny guy and this comment is hilarious.

That being said, we don’t know the details of the negotiations so to say the club made a shambolic decision is silly.

Well let’s hope Nabby can step up……without pulling his hamstring.

If you dump Keita, you can buy Neuhaus or Pellegrini or bla bla.

If you dump AOC, you will have to buy Kalvin Phillips, Jack Grealish or Jadon Sancho, or some other homegrown players.

Sometimes it feels like you’re only on here to shit on our players and speculate about who we can buy…

FIFY FWIW.
