I agree with Carragher, too many matches where he was invisible, we can and must do better.

I know that was meant as a slight, but that actually identifies him as a very good if not excellent player. Maybe you do want a cast iron starter for 50 million quid, but it’s difficult to call a player anything but a success if in one of the strongest sides we’ve ever had he is a player who would raise no eyebrows if started a CL final with all our players fit.
If everyone is fit Naby and Henderson are fighting over the midfield position and this season Klopp has managed both very well.
Just so disappointed to see him twat that bloody ball back to Anfield. Had so much time and space to get a shot on target but decided to twat it to Anfield…
It was almost impressive how far in the wrong direction that one went.
I thought it was telling that Klopp rather started a not fit Thiago who had to take pain killing injection than start Keïta.
Flicking those finishes with the outside of your foot, so easy to get the timing wrong and that’s exactly what happens.
It’s low percentage so he shouldn’t have tried it. For me the fault was in his thought process more than his execution.
Still have mixed feelings about him. One moment I think, yes that’s why we payed a lot of money for him and waited a full year and the next, why are you even on the pitch …
The ball fell perfectly for him to take a first touch in his stride and then ‘whack it’ as hard as he could…
10 Courtois in goal would not have stopped it then… Feel it might actually prove to be a ‘tipping point’ moment with lots of fans regarding further support for Keita
It also occurs to me that the pitch was much slower than it should have been. It really affected the lads to start with and took a while to adjust to. Probably didn’t help Naby time it, hence being early on it.
I like Naby, I think he is a special talent. But even in a season where we played the maximum number of games he played just over 2000 mins. Interestingly (or alarmingly), this is also his most mins in a Liverpool season.
Edit: He has missed 62 games in the four seasons with Liverpool
Agreed @Iftikhar and @Dutch. Couldn’t agree more with each of your posts.
And for the record, I love Naby as a person and Ive always very much want Naby to be one of the first names on the starting XI, but at this point 4 years in, he is what he is.
Promise and potential can often be much different than delivered measurables. It will be fascinating to see how the club and The Boss feel, and Naby for that matter, if his contract does or does not get extended.
They obviously not seen his miss from the final yet then…
We should tell them 50M GBP and we can start talking!
I’d sell if that’s the right figure, but it seems overly high considering he has 1 year left…
If that’s true we’d have to seriously consider it , for a player who looks like (to me at least) that he has every intention of running his contract down and leaving for nothing next year , even if it does give us the headache of having to find a suitable replacement.
He’s far too inconsistent. If the rumour is true then we should take the money before they change their minds.
Is this a classic case of unsettle the player with media leaks, PSG representatives show him a headline income figure that is better than anything we would offer, players head turned, club price falls as they don’t want an unhappy player on the books.
Truth be told, I like Naby a lot, but if there’s a fee available that we would be willing to accept, and there be an opportunity to strengthen through incomings, I’d be fine with that.
