Whoever it is, I just hope that they do a better due diligence on him than they did with Slot. I doubt that everything that came to light since the announcement are traits that Slot exhibited only at Liverpool, and you have to wonder how none of it was flagged two years ago.
There is no sure thing, even Enrique would be a roll of the dice, but this time the room for error is even smaller. If they get this wrong, we are going to be screwed for the foreseeable future.
Bit of a controversy here so keep it on the low. Apparently Rosemary, the laundry lady, found it in Hughes suit when it went to be dry cleaned. Actual image of the list below
Just one thing I notice from improvements Iām trying to make to myself as a coach is that even though heās intense and driving this session you can hear that everything he is saying is a positive. Heās not criticising anyone for doing things wrong he is praising them for doing it right. Thatās something I try and do but can certainly be better at.
Yeah itās especially important coaching young players. Iāve got it with my u10 cricketers. One lad, a strong player especially for this age, really drops his head when things donāt go as heād like and itās notable how important encouraging feedback is in ensuring he keeps his composure.
I hope they still take a close look at Sebastian Hoeness, provided they havenāt made a final decision yet. Aside from playing attractive football, he would at least have the advantage of possessing more experience in European football (Champions League, etc.)
Thatās the one point where I actually have some doubts about Iraola, to be honest.
I didnāt realize Semenyo had so many failed trials. Funny to think he was at Swindon, I also had a trial for them and wasnāt offered a contract (they wanted me to come back but I didnāt do it because I felt I was by far the worst player).
Got rid of egos. Developed a brilliant young squad. Has improved all of them, the longstanding players and those they spent money on. His teams play great football. Seems a great person and clearly has close bonds with players and fans
I can see why Edwards would want to take a look at him, as I guess birds of a quiet, nerdy feather flock together lol.
But for me we donāt need another low-key deep-thinker at this stage, we need to bring back some swagger and attacking mentality, so Iraola is still the guy for me.
My mate did a load of SFA courses on how to help kids in youth football,
(his lad was a youth team player at a SPL club),
One thing that stuck in his mind was learning that kids dread travelling home in their parents car after a game, specially if the kid has made a mistake or not played well.
The parent will tell the kid were he went wrong and highlight any errors, instead of talking about the positives
The squad he has now isnt like Mbappe and Neymar either. Not those types of egos. For me he“s got comfortably the best squad and they still only beat Arsenal on penalties after their goal was a penalty.
