I’ve seen it as well but it’s a absolute untrustworthy (and not allowed) source and nobody would take it serious anyway.
I don’t believe it at all.

Do we have the money for Konate, Kabak and a new forward and a few new midfielders?
I think with Konate in, the club will have 4 CBs and Phillips and Williams 5th and 6th choice.
VVD, Gomez, Matip, Konate, Phillips and Williams.
Davies (if he exists) will go back to Championship.
How many exactly do you want?
Yes

Well with Ox, Keita going (id think), Gini gone (pretty much) and Milner another year older and Hendo becoming injury prone… about 6 haha.
Very well,
He was a low-risk/high-reward signing. He picked up a knock almost immediately upon getting here and clearly hasnt done enough to force his way in, but we lose nothing on the situation. I’d view it less of a cynical move and more just a can’t lose punt in a desperate situation that hasnt (yet) worked out.
Even if he never plays a game and leaves in the summer, we sell kids with no senior experience for more money than we paid for him so we wont lose money.
We may need 6 but over the period of next 3 years or so, not all right away.
Going by rumours think we would sign one among Kabak or Konate.
Personally would rather sign none and give Ben Davies a chance. Use the funds to strengthen the Mid and forward line.
With Van Dyk, Gomez, Matip all back and Nat Philips, Ben Davies and Rhy as cover unless we play 3 at the back we would be overstocked at CB. In case we play 3 at the back definetly we would need Kabak or Konate. Varane would be ideal but too expensive. 30 million for Varane would be no Brainer.
Agree but if we’re looking to sign it indicates that only one of VVD, Gomez and Matip will be fit to start next season. Nat and Ben not being considered good enough and I presume the hope is to loan Rhys out?
Whatever happened to using -ish or -ian endings when describing footballers’ nationality? It pisses me off and I’m normally quite relaxed about these trends in language use.
I believe it’s a product of referring to the national team they play for as such rather than their nationality.
Still, I couldn’t tell you why it’s the “Turkey national football team” instead of the “Turkish national football team”.
That’s incredibly, over-optimistic!
We need at least one new CB, we can’t leave ourselves in the same position we did last summer.
We have bought Ben in which ‘theoretically’ gives us 1 more than we had at the start of last season (though I guess Rhys is going out on loan).
All depends on the medical forecasts of VVD, Gomez and Matip, difficult for us to even guess.
Where is the Ben you are talking about? He has never played and never been sighted although in a couple of games there was some werewolf like creature sitting on the bench.
I haven’t a clue. I am a bit worried I mean fitness of VVD could be dodgy and that of Matip and Gomez is so bad I have Nat in the pecking order above them. It’s a crazy situation!
On paper we might have VVD (fitness permitting), Nat (the werewolf if he grows a shaggy enough beard) and Ben the elusive werewolf.
The thing is every season the fans want 8 or 9 players out and 10 or 11 in. It’s not going to happen and we all know that. Outside loans of young players it’s probably going to be 2 out (Gini has already taken one of those) and 3 max in (unless Edwards has money on a yoyo).
Just impossible for me to calculate how this will pan out.
I wouldn’t mind if we sign just Kabak. I have not idea about the other CBs we have discussed, but Kabak looked like an acceptable quality and have rooms to improve.
Did Edwards ignored the May deadline to sign him for 10 mil and some addons. Cheeky bustard .
Because it’s easier to make a pun when they get stuffed
