Other games not mentioned yet that I saw on the Games Awards show and I’m looking forward to include Star Wars Fate of the Old Republic, a spiritual successor to the KotoR series, No Law which appears to be a cyberpunk style game, Gang of Dragon (naturally!), Solasta 2, Coven of the chicken Foot and Bradley the Badger
With regards to the Divinity reveal, I see a lot of talk about it not being Original Sin 3. What is the difference between the various Divinity titles?
I’m a fan of their crpg (played all DOS1,2 and BG3 a few times) so that’s a bummer. Don’t know if they will bring something different than Skyrim or Dragon Age, and there are already too many action rpgs around.
But looking forward to it anyway. I bought Divinity 2 a while ago so might as well try it this holiday.
Been heavy into RPG, done a few in the last year when I have had time (and most recently with a broken foot, I was laid up for a few weeks).
Feel the need to break from it for a bit, almost done Ghost of Tsushima main story. Fun and consuming story just want to see the ending now. When you’re pretty much Tech’d out it gets repetitive.
This is my problem with these games, I find the worlds so decently well done now it’s interesting just to explore. I imagine this is why the first MMORPGS were so popular when they first hit the gaming scene around the time of World of Warcraft. 2002?
Ghost of Tsushima is just as repetitive as those Ubisoft games. By the end you can safely ignore the story because it doesn’t make much sense, but the main missions and the final battle are still very well done, and the sword fighting mechanism feel satisfying throughout.
