Being reported on bbc
Hazy so far. Car drove into a group of people. Several injured at least. Driver in custody.
Liverpool City Councillor John Hughes estimated in excess of one million people were attending, beating the 750,000 present for the 2019 Champions League parade.

Access to the street were apparentely already given by the police
Edit
There is a video of it in the comments, i dont want to post it.
Horrifying. I hope everyone is relatively okay.
The video Iāve seen shows the driver swerving in the crowd and stopping the car after running into several people. The fact that the driver didnāt keep trying to ram more people makes it appear more like a tragic error than something intentional.
I agree. Thatās what Iām hoping
17 people wounded apparently
He went down middle of street hitting people, car stopped for a second, everybody had moved to the side and the car then turned to the right to go into more people. I think it was intentional. It didnāt keep ramming people because of the bodies stuck under the car.

Man arrested after car crashes into people
A 53-year-old white British man from the Liverpool area has been arrested in connection with an incident in the city centre. A car crashed into people on Water Street following the Liverpool FC Premier League victory parade on Monday.
Merseyside Police were contacted just after 6pm today after receiving reports that a car had hit a number of people on Water Street in the city centre. A large emergency service presence is at the scene with police vehicles, fire engines, ambulances stationed around the Water Street area. An air ambulance has also landed near the Liver Building.
In an update, a Merseyside Police spokesperson has said: āWe would ask people not to speculate on the circumstances surrounding tonightās incident on Water Street in Liverpool city centre.ā
Good luck with that!
I think itās best we donāt speculate at all. Be that about the person, the motive, whether it was deliberate, whether the police had opened the road or anything else about it.
Letās just focus on whether people are okay. The rest will come out in time.
Itās all over hubbys Facebook pageā¦
