Post match: Everton v Liverpool (EPL 1/12/21 8.15pm

His kit reminded me of the 90s… when us goalies were just figures of fun.

Have you seen England’s defense, it’s got slaphead in it. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

What? A team’s form collapsing after losing their lynchpin defender?

I’m sure I remember our blue friends telling us to grow up and get on with it after that happened to us.

The bitters got what they deserved last night a good beating the deluded shower of frauds.

I’m enjoying the schadenfreude very much too, but I wasn’t even aware they had a “star” defender. Feel sorry for Rafa, but like I said somewhere else, he’s really proving that you can’t polish a turd…

They missed one defender.

We had our entire CB line taken out at various points of the season and had to play Nat Phillips /Rhys Williams and still qualified for UCL.

It’s not wild speculation that we would have been competing with or even beating City the previous season if we had our defenders fit.

Rafa is a Red at heart. The man loves football and he doesn’t really care where he works, I think. I respect him for getting us number 6, and nearly getting the 7th. During his time with us, he had to cope with really terrible owners and a lot of anti-Liverpool refs, who seemed to cower to purple nose.

on thread topic, well done to the lads not only winning in a ground that is always hostile, even though, it’s just across a Park. I like this run of games where we are scoring 2+ goals a game and want it to continue forever

I’d have a hell of a lot respect for Rafa, if he’d got the 7th, before Klopp got number 6. It was the 5th.

This is what happens when you keep spending money similar to the amount Liverpool spend (without not even being close to the revenue streams that Liverpool generates).

Moshiri can pump in money and he has done so (except he’s hampered this season with FFP screwing him over)

Rafa is stuck with players bought under 5 different managers and he doesn’t have enough money to get 4 players that he needs to get a tune out of the everton squad. Demarai Gray is their best player this season and he cost 1.7m.

This isnt rafas fault. The fault lies with Everton wanting a quick route to success by excessive spending with a view of getting to Europe etc etc. And this attitude has at the past gotten other teams relegated as well…

Look at Fulham , they don’t lack money but they keep flip flopping… If Everton aren’t careful , this could happen to them too

Not sure why we would want The Blueshite to be careful… Let them implode. Sooner the better

Rafa is my favorite LFC manager however now he is Everton’s manager and as such deserves all our scorn, mockery … just like all the others. It’s not about forgetting who he was it’s about who he is now. A silly little twot blowing hot air and deserving of our unscrupulous attention. He knew this when he went there. So let’s not hold back!

I love how Rafa gas LFC at his heart but I never took to him, Ialways thought his style was too negative, he did great things with the players he had. But for me he is and was a pragmatic coach not an enigmatic one

Can you name me an enigmatic coach/manager?
Even better if you can find a successful one.
Surely a certain pragmatism comes with the job hence getting the best out of what you have. Which Rafa isn’t doing at the moment.

Love the Brett Angell young player of the year award

I would say Klopp is as he is always pushing players to test there intelligence and ability as well and improving them as players. Where as Rafa is a more practical manager and for me never inspired me to believe as Klopp does
