Post match: Liverpool v Arsenal (EPL 11/5/25 4.30pm)

Really poor from Slot for me! Can’t understand why he brought Trent on! Puts the lad and the whole team in an uncomfortable position and zapped the energy from the crowd.

He wouldn’t done it without Trent being up for it.

He probably thinks the fans wouldn’t be such idiots.

They already booed before kickoff! Slot should have read the room better.

Lack of energy from the crowd, or from right-back. I think it’s an easy one to choose.

Let’s not forget Bradley’s not up to playing the full game yet.

Does puzzle me why.

Anyhow I was going watch but ended up in a beer garden instead. Probably the right choice.

Thats different than when the game is on.

Quansah would have been the better solution today.

Of course you can blame the fans.

They may dislike him however much they like but booeing him during the game was counter productive and utterly moronic.

You can. It was the fans that stupidly chose to boo. Not all of them, but a chunk of them.

Sorry but it’s not Slot or anyone’s fault it’s the fault of the fans being for knobs.

As we’ve all seen and heard, that’s not the case. The fans’ discontent was vastly underestimated.

Not been a pro sportsman its hard for fans to understand that motivation and drive has a massive effect. Essentially they have climbed that mountain why climb anymore.

I don’t understand why though.

Oh dear, we were not great the second half.
I do not agree in booing our own players (or even the opposing players). It is like hurting our team in a middle of a game.

I agree with @Livvy , Slot should not have played Trent.

As for the match at 2-0 up if it had mattered we would have won. If Arsenal had tried they may not be ending up trophyless with a semi final brag and nothing more.

Shame we didn’t win but it is starting to drag a bit of I’m honest the fact I couldn’t care less about going to a beer garden it’s a bit of a drag. Can’t wait for the parade weekend. Sort of glad that game is Monday as it won’t make the thing seem so long.

Nah. I love Quansah but as a right-back he’s nowhere close to being in Alexander-Arnold’s league.

I agree about the booing it affected not only Trent but his team mates as well in that period they managed to score the second goal. The mood was dark and different to the first half.

Booing your own players is what they do at Everton.

I’m trying to remember one of our own being booed like that. Julian Dicks after committing GBH maybe? Regardless, it’s completely counterproductive.

Maybe winning the league early makes some “fans” too entitled?

Has that Atlanta effect perhaps.

Anyhow Slot is managing Bradley’s minutes. He isn’t to blame sorry but anyone suggests that is talking out of their arse.
