I’m not a referee but by a cursory look at discussions elsewhere, it doesn’t nullify the DOGSO but should be a booking after the goal (if advantage is played, and we score from there, it’s punished only with a booking rather than a sending off).

He literally stood on Grav’s foot, went down claiming a pen, and stayed on the ground rolling around in ‘pain’ while we went up the other end and scored. And he is a centre back. Absolute embarrassment from him.
I can’t even find the one on Nunez. It’s been completely forgotten about. We’re just conditioned to players being allowed to jump on our lads backs. Coote didn’t even thing Salah being taken out was a foul for fuck sake.

Coote waved no foul when Salah was brought down.
Whether VAR would have overturned that decision had Nunez not scored is the other thing.
But that’s a foul and a yellow card if not a red for denial of obvious goal scoring opportunity.

Yeah. There was no way that decision would have gone in our favour.
But atleast it would have been checked million of times and then the incompetence of those referees shown on TV for millions to see… Again…

Hopefully Chiesa gets back up to speed during the international break. Some more training sessions etc and he might well be enough to play.
Can we take a moment for Villa’s wild haired set piece coach, who has clearly seen the Arsenal one putting himself about, fancied a bit of that, and watched his lads concede four good chances off their own set pieces, two of which we scored. Absolutely top drawer work.
