The subs from Klopp were right, perhaps the timing could be earlier for the Gakpo one.
Danns and Nunez gave the forward line some physicality and pace which took attention off Luiz Diaz and Tsimikas. NF was able to close LFC down was because Gakpo was horrible today at wherever he was and Elliottās passes were utter shit today, leaving them to focus on Diaz.
The substituition of Endo into the game liberated Macca and Szobozlai that gained control of the midfield with a bit more guile and running.
The set-pieces improved as well after the subs with Szobozlai and Tsimkas providing better balls into the box from the numerous corners LFC had.

It annoys me how well that Endo transfer turned out. I hadnāt even heard about him before last summer. 30 years old (now 31) and playing for a struggling Stuttgart team in a league that is famously described by intelligent scholars as āturdā. An emergency option because they failed to get their main targets for that position. And now heās a starter, doing really well.

So Iāve seen that gapko shot 5 times now, and while it was a crap execution, I donāt know that he really had any other good options than go for the near post. There was no angle to go across goal, and Certainly the ball back to Darwin that he was demanding was not on.
