Post match: Palace v Liverpool (EPL 27/9/25 3pm)

A lot of woeful individual performances but I also think Arne got it wrong. The formation with Wirtz and Dom together didn’t work. Macca and Isak aren’t up to it yet and they were kept on for too long.

Konate, Bradley, Frimpong and Kerkez all had a mare.

Deserved nothing.

So many piss poor performances but also tactically, I’m sick of seeing how much time we take to pass it 5 yards and thats even if they dont pass it out for a throw-in ala Curtis.

You could always use the name Dick.

Been coming given how sloppy we’ve been in games. Did much better in the second half until we decided equalising was enough. Could perhaps benefit from the double pivot being inverted and having a second mid sitting with Grav to cover more space while the fbs bomb forward. Could have done with Ekitike today.

Chiesa deserves to start the next league game

Since the beginning of the season Liverpool hasn’t played a good game start to finish. Hopefully this was rock bottom. Onward we march

Extremely poor first half. Lucky to be just a goal down. Much improved second half. A late Chiesa goal got us level.

Pushed for the second, but got done with the late goal. Kerkez (was a 5/10 performance) should’ve cleared much better.

Thought Gomez would’ve been a good choice to put on, especially after both our CB were on a card. Once Ibou went off, Palace just had to avoid VVD to win the first header.

Ali had a good game, the rest not so much. And Kamada with 6 or 7 fouls including throwing the ball away. No yellow.

Konate struggled early on against Mateta (but tbf, Mateta could be physical on Konate with pulls which the ref allowed, but a touch from Konate would gift a foul to Palace).

Needed to defend the last action better, and would’ve come away with a point. This let’s Shitty and Arses have some hope.

I’ve seen worse looking league positioning…

I’m really not confident about us getting a result next week either frankly so it’s likely Arsenal will be ahead of us and maybe even Palace.

Reaped what we sowed. Turned up for half the game and even then, there were miscues and a lack of poise. The attitude of the team sucks. This half-hearted, lackadaisical approach is a fucking insult to the game and this time it got rightly punished.

The form of key players is lacking. Salah, Gakpo, Mac Allister, Frimpong, Bradley, Konate, even Kerkez aren’t at the required level.

And last but not least, Slot needs to step in. Two more goals from set pieces. Lots of missed duels, lots of absent-mindedness, lots of missed halves. He has to put his foot down.

We rode our luck so far, but it was always bound to come to an end. If we keep playing like this, we can forget about winning anything.

Thank you mate. Glad I came in here now. That’s really cheered me up :joy::joy::joy:. Take a bow sir

You not feeling confident does make an outcome likely

I didn’t feel that confident about today to be honest.
