Post Match v Newcastle (A) - 25/08/25

It looks like Macca is struggling physically. fall off between him and the next one up is a lot in that position, unless dom plays there.

Dom would have played there

Just seen comments from Newcastle fans complaining that there were 11 minutes of added time. They seem to forget that it was for injuries to their players, and they were the team coming back from 2:0 down.

Not so many mentions about them kicking the crap out of our players in the first half.

5 were for the injury to Scharr

do you think we need another player in midfield or are we covered for the season is what i am asking

Tonali was injured for about 4 with a shoulder injury that he seemed to get from throwing himself on the ground as Hugo didn’t hold him that much.

I was surprised it was only 11, expected anything up to 15.

Oil on the fire haha. Boss in the interview as well as in the match.

Without overanalysing, that was an instant PL classic which will be replayed for decades.

He surely didn’t say that? Sneaky Dutchman.

Szob was, along with Virg our best player and in a position that some feel he isn’t good in.

They’ve always been cunts. Fat, sweaty, deluded cunts, one of the worst fanbases out there.

I thought he was caught out of position. My view wont convince me otherwise.

As frustrating as it was that we couldn’t control the game against 10 men and conceded 2 goals after being 2 up, the lads will get some confidence and further belief knowing they can overcome the most difficult of situations in a hostile environment, with momentum against them.

We are fine

Said before the game, no injuries and a win. As some others have said it’s not perfect so it’s given Slot some things to work on.

I thought the same he injured himself with a theatrical dive!

I didn’t see that. I’ll grant you that he did let Barnes put in the cross that Gordon squandered, but otherwise not much to criticise. Maybe I’m just used to wayward RBs

The 20 minutes at the start of the 2nd half we controlled perfectly till Kirkez doesn’t clear the ball.
