I would give Rhys Williams a chance to partner Van Dyk since Ki Jana is gone now. He looked solid or play Fab next to Van Dyk. Rhys Williams gave it all against Arsenal. His positioning and desire to tackle higher up the pitch was very noticeable. Please no Gomez against Everton. Gomez and Adrian are calamity waiting to happen and we can’t take a loss against Everton.

When you are 5 goals down what do u expect will improve? The damage is already done. You tend to leave more gaps trying to score and of course you concede. Had he stayed it would have been 10-2 or had Barkley taken his chances it would have been 7-2 at half time… I agree Trent was poor but Gomez was dreadful beyond words.

We’ve always been high under JK but not this high. We are literally a yard inside our own half. I think this is what JK meant when he said he was going to attack the league and not defend it. Go ultra aggressive and really try and pin teams back. We started this way after restart and have been exposed time and time again by it. 4 goals conceded against City, 3 against Chelsea, 3 against Leeds. Lincoln could have had 4 and now Villa have scored 7. This is a team that had the best defensive record in the PL for two seasons. There needs to be a rethink in the international break because it’s just not working.

Ah right. So Gomez is at fault for the goals, and not to mention the chances that Villa squander, when he is sat in the fucking stands?
If he was the problem then his removal would stop the issues we were having. It didn’t. It just kept happening. Fabinho was nearly as bad at Centre Back as he was.

Even Maddock is saying the same thing I posted. Our boys have very little faith in Adrian. It is painfully obvious.

If you had the same thought when Clyne was our RB, Trent would have never got a chance. Clyne was solid RB. He did nothing wrong but Trent is an upgrade on the attacking front. Gomez has been poor for months now after his injury comeback. If only Matip was fit we wouldnt have lost or atleast not lost 7-2…Lovren makes a mistake and he gets picked. Gomez is being treated with kids glove.

-If I was him, I would terminate my contract!!! Don’t know how good is Kelleher, but Adrian must not be given more time. He even made VVD and Fab lose composure, and looked like duks in the mist! - A bit wrong tactics from JK…but after such mistake, don’t know if anybody can tell…
-Still, he made really poor changes, for right reasons!
-As I see it, Taki is not even close to Keita, to be taken off after 45 mins. He should have kept Keita in! Taki didn’t play 45 mins, even when we were winning! And it may have effects on Keita’s selfesteem…What Taki did is he took the mojo of Diogo…running around insted of creating!
- Than he brought no 17…did enyone notice him…then Diogo became invisible too!
We were losing, and he brought in, inferior players, with minimum PL experience…

I was giving my brother in Ireland stick earlier little did I think our performance and result would be worse he support united. What has happened to Gomez recently. That was nearly as bad as Rodgers against stoke.
