Yeah, no surprises. Always the same shite when it goes to the ‘best league in the world’… Fucktards, the whole lot of them.
You know what? I’m now firmly in the ‘create a breakaway league’ camp. I’ve had enough of this shit. It’s too fucking obvious.
Remember what happened when we trashed Palace, this time its utd.
Reading the collective overreaction and meltdown from our supporters on the socials today is equally amusing and embarrassing. Likewise the over the top reaction from WH supporters and those “neutrals” thrilled to see us lose.
NEWSFLASH: It was 7th November; Matchday 11; 27 matches remaining.
It happens every season, everyone leaves us for dead at some point and yet our boys never roll over.
Felt this was the toughest period for us ironically it looked good a few weeks back.
Kind of expected us to lose but it’s the results like the Brighton one that impact us.
He doesn’t have to make contact for it to be a red card. That is the rule
From sportbild:
The start of the game had gone completely wrong for the Klopp team. Fifth minute, corner for West Ham. Liverpool keeper Alisson is hindered in the six-yard area by Ogbonna, boxing the leather into the net. The scene is checked by the VAR - but not classified as foul play. A very English interpretation ….
If I saw someone do that to one of my teammates, he’d be laying on the ground next to him. period.
Was kind of bafflingly we didn’t offer Alison more protection and frankly we will need to do from now on unless we are planning not to concede corners.
Cresswell’s was a red in my view and Pawson is the worst ref I’ve seen this season. Generally I’ve not had an issue with refs this season but that was very poor.
Refs will make mistakes and they have done but generally if they ref the game in a balanced mind fair enough. That card wasn’t and every foul for one side was blasted.
We deserved to lose because we didn’t do enough, The only reaction is rebuild the intimidation of Anfield and start winning again, I know we can play better but we’ve got to the stage were we can make little or no mistakes.
The only positive from this weekend is Chelsea dropped two points as home to Burnley should be a 3 pointer, WHU away isn’t.
Listening to the chaps on Football Ramble today offered the only “pro Liverpool” take I’ve heard from the media. Agreed the Cresswell tackle was red and WH were “lucky” to get away with one. Also put the WH win in proper perspective, echoing that it was still November. Also gave our boys proper credit saying we’ve been scintillating all season and days like thus happen. They also thought WH will likely fall away as the schedule becomes much more demanding over the Christmas period and various competition demands with such a small squad.
Not that I personally ever look for validation from any media source but for once a proper assessment.
Found it interesting they also opined from a neutral perspective it appears JK has a bit of a challenge picking his best MF, as a result of constant injuries.
I’ve calmed down now…yes we want to buck our ideas up and start playing…but we lost by 1 goal…yes the shitheads should’ve had one man sent off…and we should show Ali how to fall on the floor and hold his face/head…coz u always get a free kick for that…praps I haven’t calmed down…but just trying find the positives.
Maybe unpopular opinion here but the Jota elbow on second and third viewing its not as accidental as it seems knows full well what hes doing.
Once again we’ve seen the ref compromise the integrity of the game. Whether intentional or not, these decisions leave a sour taste in the mouth. It doesn’t excuse our lack of protection of our goalkeeper. That should be a fella like Henderson protecting Allison, since he’s kinda shite with his head anyways. Virg and Joel have their own respective CB to cover on those set plays. but someone has to be in Antonio’s face to clear the way for Allison
Completely agree, not sure what is going on with midfield, Brentford and City really exploited this where 2/3 quick passes or 1 over the top ball has our defenders back pedalling.
Our defenders are really being left exposed.
Alisson turned into Adrian yesterday three shots on target and three goals. Antonio bragging about unsettling him. Maybe Nat should have played.
Any football player sees that as a red card challenge!
I was shocked that went to VAR review and it wasn’t called. not even a yellow. absolute horseshit that with today’s technology that these “professionals” cannot identify a scissor tackle or see the contact with the knee.
What’s even MORE shocking, is that an England national team member did that to his captain. WTF?!?!?
I am not remotely shocked. Look at decisions such as Ronaldo on Curtis Jones, multiple assaults on Salah, Mane over the season and ask why this continues to happen?
His role at the corner is basically to obstruct and physically impede Alisson as much as possible but crucially to step away at just the right moment.
It’s still foul play but he’s not fouling Alisson when he goes up for the ball and that’s why I think he’s got away with it in this instance.
Never quite understood how this isn’t more heavily policed. In rugby you can’t deliberately impede the man going up for the ball or make contact with him in the air unless you’re clearly competing for the ball. It’s primarily a safety concern to ensure those competing in the air aren’t deliberately disrupted by those with no intention of competing for the ball.
… and he made that disgusting scissor movement that can only be concidered as a deliberate act of thuggery!
