Post Match: West Ham - Liverpool (PL; 7/11/21)

That’s an opinion I can agree with.
Btw even if your suggestion is wrong I still respect it. :+1:

Considering how pathetic our defence is at corners I’m wondering if it was time to bring Nat back. I mean those 2 goals would never have happened like they did. Nat would have attacked the ball fairly taking out there obstucting player and Antonio at the same time, ok he might have touched Alisson on his way but we all know he’s pretty nifty at leaving Alisson well alone (just think back to Alisson’s goal).
At least we would have some muscle and grit, none of this namby pamby stuff!

Starting with the Goodison derby last season-

Pickford on VVD
Richarlison on Thiago
Walcott on Milner (a fucking bad, bad challenge that’s gone under the radar).
Struijk on Elliot
Pogba on Keita
Ronaldo on Jones
Fernandes on Jones
Fred on Keita
Cresswell on Henderson.

There’s 9 right there that have caused serious injury to one of our lads or had the potential to. Add in the constant manhandling of Salah and Mane.
Only Richarlison has had a straight red card without any input from VAR.
You can add the numerous ‘missed’ incidents (Anthony Taylor a regular contributor) and the countless shite VAR decisions on offside goals and penalties at both ends of the field.
Has any other club had to put up with this bullshit on such a regular basis? It fucking stinks to high heaven.

It would be really interesting to see this compared to other clubs. I don’t watch nearly enough football to know if this is normal.

I do know, however, that we very rarely instigate instances like this. Gerrard’s 3 minute appearance against Utd in the 14/15 season is the last one that comes to mind.

Our last sending off for violent conduct was Mane against Man City 4 years ago. The last red card we had was the Alisson handball against Brighton in November 2019.

Ah yes, Mane’s high boot at City, a genuine attempt to play the ball called as violent conduct. I’ve seen plenty of those since, can’t remember any of them being a red card.

Or we need to hire yet another assistant coach in charge of “combating the dark arts”.
They need to be from ether Spain, Italy or Argentina.

I could do it, pretend to tussle then fall dramatically to the ground clutching your head yelling ‘he fucking kicked me in the shin’.

And have the surname ‘Simeone’.

This is a beut! Yesterday on Talksport, Trevor Sinclair (ex West Ham and Man City of course) actually blamed Henderson for the incident. He said, Cresswell is from Liverpool, therefore Henderson should’ve anticipated what was coming and go in harder than he did. I can’t believe these idiot ex players actually get paid for crap like this.

Sinclair seems to be particularly obnoxious, posted a tweet a while back where he used the term ‘dippers’. All a bit rich coming from a convicted racist, drink-driver.

Not even a foul given.

Still don’t understand how these people steal a living. Absolutely no insight, no brains, and the difference when someone like Wenger or Mourinho come on is night and day.

Which is why I watch all our games on mute. Can’t wait for the Prime games when you (at least, used to) can mute the commentary but keep the stadium noises.

Please don’t mention a breakaway because that’ll be the day I will stop watching football altogether.

Sorry to see Ogbonna may have done his ACL in the game, although I think they actually subbed him because of his eye, so there may have been a stroke of luck. If he had played on, we might have seen a Lucas type of incident.

So Jota did him a favour? Maybe that’s what happened with Jones…

It looks that way, because he is out for a few weeks at the very least, but had he kept playing, what might be just a damaged ACL could have become a full tear and a lost year.

We’re one of the best teams so get kicked a lot more.
We’re also a really nice team so never complain or playact, and very rarely foul. Milner’s about the only one who will smash someone or take a cynical yellow for the team.
We also seem to lose our heads when decisions go against us. So in short we’re an easy target for shithouse teams who can’t compete in a proper football match.

I think it’s more a combination of these factors than any grand conspiracy by FA, PL, referees, SKY etc
