Excellent performance. 5-0 away from home. Five different scorers. Easily could have been 8 or 9. To be fair they could have scored a couple too.
I had Mac Allister as my motm, and Salah was my second vote. My third vote was an unusual one, Quansah, but I’ll show my working!
Quansah was brilliant last season and rose through the ranks to partner Virg. He got the nod in the first game this season, but was getting roughed up a bit and so Slot changed at half time. In a way it was brutal, but at the same time it was the right decision, and a very Dutch way to go about your business. No nonsense.
After that Quansah was benched and in the limited action he saw since then, he made an error or two - it can happen to anyone - but I was gutted it happened to him. He is a young player with a very high ceiling, and I really didn’t want it to get into his mind and become a thing that would cause him to slip well back from where he was.
He came on today. Walshy said something like, “FFS Quansah.” I know we are only a forum, but that’s the sort of stuff that can really harm a player at a vulnerable stage, if the match going fans followed suit.
Anyway, as it happened it was pretty uneventful for Quansah. He did his job. He got some important minutes under his belt. No mistakes.
Given all the context, that was a telling contribution for me, so he got my third vote.
Arsenal now have a bit of pressure on them for a couple of tricky league games coming up. Love to see it.

I’m not sure what is more impressive. The fact that we are at the end of December unbeaten away, or the fact that we have scored 11 (eleven) goals in the last two of those away fixtures.
Let’s enjoy it whilst it lasts.
TBH that loss to Forest is looking more and more like a freak result, other than the fact that they are 2nd now.
