One of our rivals has a striker who has scored at least one goal in each of his last 12 games. That does help. It is not just our defence that isn’t performing.

One thing I found quite worrying in this game was how horrible our first half was yet United were still the first team to make any changes well into the second half.

Also, our lads came out for the 2nd half a good minute before Utd but instead of going through drills or anything just stood around in small groups talking. Looked odd tbh.
More infuriating is the lack of height put on our defensive headers. There’s not enough time for someone else to close in. Then again noone makes the effort to close in anyway so it’s a mute point. Defensive awareness is generally lacking across the board.
We’ve got an underperforming forward line, a midfield which plays like they’ve just met each other and a defence that leaks goals every game. Apart from that, we’re pretty good aren’t we?

Well the players are good it’s just the way they play isn’t very convincing for a group of trained professional adults. They can surely do better.
