Keeping Trent out of the firing line for a bit is sensible, but I’d have gone Gomez at Right Back. A bit worried about Jimmy’s pace.
Upfront, I wonder how much of this is about rewarding Elliott’s performance on Tuesday, and how much about Easing Nunez back with thirty mins at the end. If he was 100% I’d have gone with him over Gakpo.

I’m wondering if the balance was in favour of keeping Milner’s leadership in the team, since we’re not starting Henderson. I think it’s been quite rare that Jürgen has left out both of them, and even rarer still that both them and Virgil are out of the team.
Given our record this season, I think it’s probably highly believable?
Fuck rehab. I’d keep Trent out of the team for a month, and having him on an intensive programme of watching Xabi Alonso videos, and then bring him back as a Midfielder.

Midfield is better, team still doesn’t look very good though. That said, neither does Chelsea’s.
Can’t imagine there’ll be loads of chances in it for us unless Chelsea really have a nightmare, might have to hang tight until Nunez comes on.
