Pre and In Match Thread. Liverpool vs Burnley. EPL. Sat 21st Aug 2021. 1230 hrs

I read yesterday that the Ox baby will arrive soon, so it is possibly just that imo.

Well that line up is a surprise to me, I’m as good a team lineup predictor as Klopp is of taking note of my recommendations.

Anyway that’s quite an exciting lineup and I expect Thiago to come on at the time i predicted.

We have a max of three subs anyway and every position is covered by the options on the bench, so it didn’t really matter.

Madness… imagine scenes if Elliott scores today!

Elliott’s a narky little bastard, I can see him being the one doing the kicking.

Yeah I may have jumped the gun and that’s why the two keepers.

It’s just a reaction to a late injury (Milner) or the situation with Ox.

I don’t even doubt that today is the day.

I haven’t got passed Hendo walking out on to the Anfield pitch …

Yeah, the Championship experience might be of advantage for him today. Plenty of thug teams in there…

Hope @richieh_10 has managed to get inside by now.

I’m assuming Hendo will effectively be DM in this one? Starting with Elliott is bold. Hopefully one to remember.

We should all be looking for a guy waving a TAN flag eh! :0)

We need 2 GK on the teamsheet since Alisson doesn’t count. He is now a proven goal scorer

There is no love lost between these 2 managers :stuck_out_tongue:

Low block, narrow, let the ball go wide so that crosses can be easily headed away by Mee and Tarkowski. Launch long ball with the Barnes and Wood double act focusing on the space left by our full backs. Avoid VVD in the heading contest by stationing against Joel.

Look for any opportunity to go down in our half, so that they can focus on their set piece routines. Take time on every throw-in by polishing the ball, stealing 10 yards, and launching it.

Be in the ear of the ref by saying they haven’t touched Sadio/Mo after wrestling them to the floor.

Have I missed anything?

Jürgen Klopp, speaking to BT Sport

“Fabinho and Ox are both out for personal reasons, and Millie has unfortunately… I think in Millie terms it’s not even an injury, but the medical department didn’t let him out. So he’s not available for today, that’s it.”

I’d be surprised if they don’t press us when the ball is wide. Letting us cross it is very dangerous with the quality Trent and Tsimikas have.

Oddly satisfying
