And Bobby would be better suited to stop Rodri dictating play for them
Sure, and I do understand the frustration. We are not able to find the rythm and the form we need to compete at the very highest of the levels this season, that’s just a fact. And I am frsutrated too. But I do try to nuance the picture because it is not as grim as some say in moments of frustration. Not in this game against this opponent at least. But yes, overall, the season has been very worrying. But not because of this game. This game in a vacum is just a very tricky one for us where we are at now.
But we can genuinly hope to see a more consistent Liverpool later on. But, yes, I am worried too in the overall picture.
Mo, Nunez, Thiago, Matip, Harvey
Im sure he’s colour blind…can’t see a red shirt, and gives a free kick to a dickhead whose just kicked an gone for afters with Fabio…is it Coote or !!!
Nunez taking it twice?
Darwin needed that half to bring back a bit of sharpness. I expect a goal in the second half. Same applies to Gomez in a way. I just don’t know what to expect from him in this form tbh
I think it feels worse because it’s the likes of Robbo, Thiago and Salah as the main culprits. They are meant to be world class, only one player showing that level and that’s De Bruyne and he played at the World Cup. I had hoped a break would reset but it doesn’t look that way. That’s most worrying.
Gomez going right back has definitely closed up that right side somewhat
Not sure if its the ESPN stream or the actual atmosphere but it just sounds completely dead. Shaka Hislop just said Man City should be 5-1 up Not sure where he’s getting that from.
Really enjoyed Nat’s tackle on Haaland.
Many other things I’m not enjoying, but while I want us to win, I’d get over losing after about 30 seconds.
Who is captain now Millie left the field…
Tbf, we fixed two problems with that Milner injury. One with not having Milner caught upfield anymore without the place to get back, and two Gomez out of central defence. 5" shorter than Haaland and half the pace? Did you see Haaland’s eyes light up when Matip got caught up the pitch and we turned the ball over?
Yep Nat on and Gomez wide was 100% the best choice.
It would normally be Gomez but I can’t confirm that
Midfield is way too light. Gomez has a continuing nightmare. Nunez wasted a couple of good chances. How we are not three or four down God only knows. Can’t see us getting anything here tonight.
No idea. Know who’s saving theirs though.
Robbo I believe took the armband.
Oh, I understand where you are coming from and yes, their form is a worry. But with us, it is more or less the entire team not reaching heights of form this season apart from the odd game tbh. It is more systemic than individual I think (which of course is a worry). I don’t have high hopes for this season anymore, I cross my fingers and hope fervently on the next one. But I do want to see progression and return to form before this season is over. And I do hope we can manage to win a cup. I don’t expect it though. This season has just started badly and then it just continued like that with very uneven performances and no stability.
But our real problems this season are against mid and low-table, not against the very best. I just want to note that. It is against the mid and low table teams, when you beat them, it is then you find form and form you need to beat the best teams consitently.
And even so, even in this game against what is probably the best, we still have a shot and game is on.
I am not trying to be positive in an idiotic way, I am just trying to insert some nuance
I say this in the nicest possible way - Shaka Hislop is a moron.
Robbo
Yeah, you listening to this shit also?
Who is the other idiot ?
