I was laughing at Arsenal fans yesterday commenting on what it means that a round of CL fixtures were played without controversy when they see controversy every week in the PL. Apparently it is just because the refs are better. The ref here is making the very convincing argument that is not the case, and maybe Arsenal fans are always upset about perceived refereeing controversies because they cannot stop wetting themselves
Are you basing that on watching us against Chelsea?
If so I’d say there is only a 33% chance an English ref would have given it.

I’ve no problem with the referee missing that. It’s quick and unclear in real time. But for VAR to look at that and go, yeah sound. On field decision. It’s absolutely unfathomable
