It still feels weird to see Heitinga in our dugout.
The last two goals from Spurs will make Slot furious with his defence. This might just drive him to get a new stronger LB…
Yeah, hopefully we can have at least three votes this time around
Top of the league at Xmas
Great point! With realistic expectations of the game gone they just attacked with abandon
Trent and Gomez will get a fair few votes. Gomez especially, he was immense. Did not deserve to be in a side conceding 3 that’s fo’ sho’
That’s a fine Christmas gift from the lads! A very entertaining game and some good goals in there!
I don’t like the 3 at the back for us however. That’s now eight goal conceded in three PL matches. It’s too much, but Slot and the lads will know that themselves and hopefully correct this.
But our game was a joy to watch. The workrate off the ball was breathtaking at times. The number of chances we got was mind-boggling. Three points at a traditionally difficult fixture for us, four points in the clear with a game in hand. It couldn’t be much better before getting into the hectic Christmas schedule, could it?
How do you come off blaming Robbo?
Kulesevski is only 24 years old?!? I would fdefinitely put a bid in summer
Yeah Gomez was really solid, I agree.
Mono…Lfc good at this winning stuff…stuff what’s that…very eloquent u thick manc
It might be good for us in the long run. Arne will be annoyed about that defensive performance for sure. I’m sure Virg won’t be happy either
Turning so many corners, the very personification of United.
Mo unhappy with the defense as well. Hunger games.
nice to be on top at Christmas, hope the lads can enjoy the season and continue in this vein until the end of the season
All their goals were from our left
What?
Madison and Solanke literally both scored from the centre of the pitch after Mac lost out in the middle, Trent gave it away on the right.
Runs, balls back in were from our left. Robbo got beat on the header, Virg closest, Robbo, should have tucked in and picked Kulu’s run and Virg should have closed down Maddison, all our left sided defenders
Where’s the Leicester thread?
First half 1-3
Second Half 2-3
Overall, a comfortable win. Could have ended up something like 4-10. Slot has been excellent and also with his in game tactics. The only gripe is the substitutions to manage games with long term thinking. My fear is we could hit a wall in March with all the minutes under some of the first eleven.
At 5-1 up at the 70 minute mark, more subs just to tighten up would have been ideal (with our threat still there on the counter to score).
Anyway, a good win. With Jota and Harvey off the bench, with Tsimikas returning to it, we have genuine rotation options.
